Adani Ports adds 6 million TEU capacity under Ambition 2031 plan

Under its five‑year expansion blueprint, APSEZ plans to increase handling capacity by more than 6 million TEU, with Mundra positioned as the flagship hub. The company currently manages around 16 lakh TEU of empty containers annually at Mundra, accounting for roughly 35% of India’s container trade. By FY 2025‑26, APSEZ’s market share in the national container market stands at 45.5%, and the firm targets a 1‑billion‑tonne throughput by 2030, up from the present 653 million tonnes.
