Adani Energy Solutions Q2 Results: Profit, Revenue Jump

Adani Energy Solutions Limited on Thursday released its financial results for the second quarter of FY27, showing a sharp rise in both profit and income. The company's profit for the July-September quarter climbed 145 percent year-on-year to Rs 1,364 crore, while its income rose 51 percent to Rs 10,239 crore.

Operating revenue in the quarter grew 51 percent to Rs 7,167 crore. The company credited the improvement to the solid performance of its transmission and energy solutions platforms.

The September quarter also saw EBITDA rise 67 percent year-on-year to Rs 3,548 crore. Operational EBITDA increased 68 percent to Rs 3,070 crore.

For the first half of FY27, consolidated profit went up 137 percent to Rs 2,600 crore, and total income grew 46 percent to Rs 20,092 crore.

CEO Kandarp Patel said the company had ended the first half of the fiscal year with healthy financial and operational momentum, building a firm base for future expansion. He explained that the company had considerably widened its growth pipeline by acquiring strategic transmission assets in Vizag and Satara, lifting its active order book to close to Rs 87,000 crore.

In operational terms, the volume of electricity sold in the Mumbai distribution business rose around 11 percent. The number of meters installed under the smart metering platform increased to about 1.5 crore.

Patel also pointed to a major 2.5 GW RTC power supply contract with MSEDCL. He said the deal strengthens AESL's core strengths in enabling customers to draw energy from multiple sources and improving power supply.

He further said that steady quarter-on-quarter performance across all business areas, backed by strict financial discipline, positioned the company well to convert its large project pipeline into long-term value for stakeholders.

Segment data showed transmission operating income rising 17 percent to Rs 1,521 crore in the quarter. Distribution income from AEML and MUL increased 2 percent to Rs 3,181 crore. Smart metering operations income surged 129 percent to Rs 267 crore, while energy solutions income reached Rs 2,197 crore.

On the BSE, Adani Energy Solutions shares closed at Rs 1,293. The stock's 52-week high stands at Rs 1,789, while its 52-week low is Rs 804.70, according to exchange data.
