The cabinet set a target to complete the projects by the fiscal year 2032‑33, with an overall outlay of ₹1,86,405 crore. Of this, ₹1,36,378 crore is earmarked for ISTS development and ₹5,000 crore for the 50 GWh BESS. Central financial assistance of ₹54,082 crore will help lower intra‑state transmission charges and keep electricity tariffs in check, ultimately benefiting end‑consumers across India.
