In a landmark moment for Jamui district, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid foundations for development projects totaling Rs 914 crore during his Samriddhi Yatra stop on Wednesday. The initiatives span critical sectors, promising transformative change for the area.

From Laghuar, the CM triggered the launch of 181 projects worth Rs 602 crore and foundation stones for 189 schemes costing Rs 312 crore via remote access, encompassing 370 projects in all. This massive investment highlights the state’s focus on grassroots development.

Kumar meticulously reviewed ongoing works from prior announcements in Prakriti Yatra. A key highlight was the Kundghat Reservoir, which he inspected after its unveiling. Designed to harness monsoon runoff from nearby hills and jungles, the reservoir will ensure reliable irrigation, directly benefiting thousands of farmers in the vicinity.

District Magistrate Naveen presented a thorough update on Prakriti Yatra schemes, Saat Nischay-2 accomplishments, and the rollout of Saat Nischay-3. The Chief Minister elaborated on Saat Nischay-3’s seventh resolve: simplifying everyday life hurdles to elevate Bihar to top-tier development status nationwide.

Addressing the gathering, Nitish stressed respectful and comfortable living for all as the government’s core mantra. He urged officials to maintain sensitivity in execution to achieve national leadership in development. Looking ahead, he reaffirmed the pledge to employ one crore youth in five years, fostering industrial growth and empowering Bihar’s youth with skills for self-sufficiency and secure futures.

Notable attendees included Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, ministers Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Sanjay Kumar, Shreyasi Singh, alongside top bureaucrats. Jamui’s development trajectory now accelerates, signaling Bihar’s broader vision of prosperity.

In a major relief for aspiring soldiers, Maharashtra Minister Shambhuraj Desai announced job guarantees for 11,000 state youths enrolled in the Agniveer program. Speaking in the Vidhan Parishad, Desai outlined a comprehensive plan to secure employment after their four-year army stint.

Of these recruits, 25% or about 2,750 will transition directly to central ministries. The state is focusing on the other 75%, forming a high-level committee with ex-military experts. Their upcoming report will recommend integrations into uniformed services such as Home Guards, forest protection units, and more.

Desai detailed the process: post-report, ministers from relevant departments will evaluate feasibility, followed by Chief Ministerial nod. This structured pathway reflects the government’s resolve amid ongoing political debates on Agniveer uncertainties.

Opposition voices have long flagged post-service employment as a weak link in the scheme. Maharashtra’s swift action—establishing the group even before retirements begin—demonstrates foresight. It positions the state as a leader in supporting short-service warriors.

Youth enthusiasm for Agniveer has surged in Maharashtra, with thousands stepping up. Now, with job assurances, more may follow. The initiative not only honors their service but also bolsters state security apparatus with trained personnel. Expect final decisions next month, promising stability for these patriots.

Assam is gearing up for an industrial revolution as Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed approvals for 35 projects totaling ₹5,067 crore alongside 26 new industrial zones. Posting on social media platform X, Sarma highlighted how these developments are propelling the state towards rapid progress through investments in manufacturing and infrastructure.

The core objective is to generate employment opportunities for Assam’s young population, thereby reducing outward migration. Sarma noted, ‘Economic empowerment of youth, combined with targeted skill programs, will foster jobs and startups, securing our demographic dividend.’

In a highly anticipated event, Chhattisgarh’s Finance Minister OP Chaudhary is slated to table the 2026-27 budget in the assembly this afternoon at 12:30 PM. This third outing for the Vishnu Dev Sai government promises a comprehensive roadmap prioritizing swift economic expansion, fortified infrastructure, and equitable progress across the state.

The fiscal session commenced on February 23, heightening expectations for measures that mirror central leadership’s focus on security-development synergy. Sources hint at generous provisions for Bastar and adjacent districts, targeting critical sectors like connectivity, education, health services, and sustainable livelihoods.

Entrepreneurial fervor could get a fillip through startup incentives and MSME support, alongside youth employment drives and urban upgrades for Raipur akin to metropolitan hubs. Panchayat-driven rural initiatives are also on the cards, aiming to invigorate village-level economies.

The agenda extends to enhancing governance efficiency, luring industrial capital, and optimizing poverty alleviation programs. Chief Minister Sai hailed it on X as a stride in ‘good governance to prosperity,’ aligning with PM Modi’s developed India by 2047.

Prioritizing empowerment of farmers, marginalized groups, youth, women, and tribals, Sai expressed confidence that the budget will solidify the ‘Sushasan se Samriddhi’ model. The state eyes self-reliance and a new prosperity era.

Contextually, the prior 2025-26 budget of Rs 1.65 lakh crore exceeded the previous by Rs 17,500 crore. The ongoing session features budget debates on February 25-27, with a recess until March 8, culminating by March 20. Analysts view this as a defining fiscal statement for Chhattisgarh’s future trajectory.

In Azamgarh on Sunday, UP Minister OP Rajbhar lauded the central and state governments’ relentless push for inclusive growth, while launching a blistering attack on Rahul Gandhi and Congress for undermining India’s international standing.

‘PM Modi’s vision is crystal clear: bring every corner of India—villages, states, citizens—into the development fold,’ Rajbhar told IANS. Echoing Modi’s words, he stressed that NDA alliances from the capital to state capitals are driving prosperity round-the-clock.

Key achievements include hiking education aides’ pay in UP from Rs 10,000 to 18,000, alongside safeguards for other contract staff. These steps are a boon for underprivileged households, he noted.

Rajbhar focused on empowering youth through respectable employment and self-dependence initiatives. UP has onboarded millions into government jobs, bolstered skill training, and fueled startups over the past years.

However, he condemned Rahul Gandhi’s overseas trips as platforms to malign India. ‘Such leaders shame the nation globally, revealing Congress’s true colors,’ Rajbhar charged.

Addressing voter list updates, he assured transparency in registration and SIR processes. Voter slips are out, district lists due April 15, with polls on schedule via the Election Commission’s impartial oversight.

Government schemes like housing for all, clean cooking fuel, health insurance, and farmer support have uplifted crores. Rajbhar slammed the opposition bloc for negativity sans substance on growth matters.

The Jharkhand Legislative Assembly witnessed heated exchanges on Saturday as opposition members pushed for extending government employees’ retirement age, only to face a clear ‘no’ from the ruling dispensation.

LJP legislator Janardan Paswan kicked off the discussion, contrasting Jharkhand’s 60-year retirement norm with 65 years for central doctors and teachers, and even local counterparts. Citing neighbor Chhattisgarh’s upgrade to 62, he stressed acute manpower gaps crippling services.

Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore responded decisively: ‘States decide based on unique fiscal and administrative realities. Jharkhand has no plans to alter this. Our priority is systematic recruitments for the vast pool of qualified youth under CM Hemant Soren’s vision.’ He warned that age hikes would choke entry-level opportunities.

Shifting gears, Congress MLA Rajesh Kachhap spotlighted persistent backlog vacancies reserved for marginalized groups. ‘SC/ST/OBC posts lie vacant for years, ignored in new hires,’ he charged, calling for a structured resolution.

Kishore rebutted inflated figures, noting active departmental processes. ‘Reservation rules are strictly followed; backlogs top the list. We’ve directed departments for transparent, accelerated fillings—no more than 50,000 as claimed, but all will be addressed promptly.’

As the session progressed, the government’s firm position signals a strategic pivot towards empowering young talent, potentially reshaping Jharkhand’s workforce dynamics for years ahead.

The Madhya Pradesh government’s 2026-27 budget, clocking in at ₹4.65 lakh crore, has drawn sharp political applause from BJP state chief Hemant Khandelwal. He positions it as a transformative document laser-focused on empowering the poor, farmers, youth, and women, setting the stage for accelerated development.

Speaking candidly, Khandelwal highlighted the economic strides: per capita income up 19% to ₹1.79 lakh from ₹1.41 lakh, underscoring policy effectiveness in wealth creation. This fiscal plan isn’t just numbers—it’s a testament to governance delivering real gains.

Farmers stand to gain immensely with one lakh solar pumps and natural farming across one lakh hectares, fostering eco-friendly productivity. The Ladli Behna scheme’s boosted corpus empowers women like never before.

For the youth, hostels are expanding, ₹25,000 crore loans are on tap, 40,000 pension scheme beneficiaries get support, and sports funding hits ₹815 crore. Infrastructure gets ₹21,000 crore under Majra-Tola, and 294 Sandeepani schools signal educational renaissance.

Religious and social commitments include ₹10,000 crore for key community bills and preparations for 2028 mega-events, enhancing spiritual tourism. Khandelwal envisions this budget steering MP to a $2 trillion economy by 2047.

On opposition jibes, he pointed to the budget’s 20-fold growth since 2003’s ₹23,000 crore era, urging acclaim for welfare enhancements. With 15-20% hikes in schemes and more to come, it’s a comprehensive growth narrative.

In a bold statement of intent, Madhya Pradesh’s Finance Minister Jagdish Devda presented a staggering Rs 4.65 lakh crore budget in the state assembly—the biggest in its history. Presented without a single new tax burden, this third budget of the Mohan Yadav administration zeroes in on empowering the state’s vibrant youth, resilient farmers, and dynamic women, setting the stage for accelerated development.

With youth forming 62% of the working-age population, the government is rolling out aggressive hiring: 22,500 police constables and 19,000 anganwadi workers. Coupled with employment melas and education-linked job programs, these measures aim to bridge the opportunity gap for millions.

Agriculture takes center stage as the minister hailed the sector’s golden era. MP dominates national production charts in key crops and holds the top spot for foodgrain storage. Declaring 2026 as Farmers’ Welfare Year, initiatives link farming to high-value sectors like fisheries and livestock, while Rs 12,000 yearly aid per family via dual schemes promotes organic practices.

Social welfare extends to marginalized communities, with dedicated funds for STs and SCs comprising 37% of the population. Women’s strides are evident in self-help groups, police roles, petrol pumps, and sports. Ladli Behna reaches 1.25 crore with monthly stipends totaling Rs 23,000+ crore, revitalizing Ladli Laxmi 2.0, and expanding maternal support schemes.

Development infrastructure gets a turbo boost: hybrid models ensure quality roads, with ambitious targets for new constructions, renewals, and damaged bridge repairs. The ‘tap water to every home’ drive underscores rural transformation. This comprehensive budget charts a visionary path, blending welfare with growth for all Madhya Pradesh residents.

In a transformative move, Chhattisgarh is redefining itself beyond minerals and forests, aiming for leadership in tech and startups. Addressing stakeholders after an MoU between the state IT department and STPI, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai outlined ambitious plans to empower the youth with local job opportunities in high-growth sectors.

The state’s modern infrastructure and pro-business policies have already attracted IT and emerging tech firms. Sai reiterated the government’s commitment to making Chhattisgarh a hub for knowledge-based industries, leveraging e-governance for efficiency.

Central to this vision is the launch of a Center of Entrepreneurship targeting AI, forest-medtech innovations, smart cities, and precision farming. Complementing it, an advanced ESDD facility will annually aid dozens of hardware ventures and small businesses with design, prototyping, and training services.

STPI’s extensive experience across India will infuse Chhattisgarh’s ecosystem with proven strategies for success. The Chief Minister hailed this as a game-changer, predicting it will spark an economic boom and establish the state as a national leader in digital entrepreneurship.

Attendees included top bureaucrats and industry leaders, underscoring the initiative’s significance. This partnership not only promises jobs but also fosters a culture of innovation, ensuring sustainable growth for Chhattisgarh’s vibrant youth population.
