  • PM Modi expresses gratitude to the public for BJP’s victory in the by-elections in the states

Pleased with the BJP’s spectacular performance in the by-elections in various states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday praised the party leadership of these states and thanked the people. Modi said that due to the ‘development agenda’ of the state government led by Shivraj Singh Chauhan and the hard work of the party workers, BJP has emerged as the first choice of people in Madhya Pradesh. He said that the public’s affection for the party is “priceless”.

In the by-elections in 28 assembly seats of Madhya Pradesh, BJP has won 16 seats and is leading in three other seats. The Prime Minister said in a tweet about the party’s victory in the two seats of the Karnataka by-election, that the BJP’s victory in Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Sira seats has special significance and the people have stamped the reform policies of the state government and the central government.

At the same time, expressing happiness over the victory in all the BJP seats in the by-elections in eight assembly seats in Gujarat, Modi said that there is an “unbreakable” relationship between the people of the state and the BJP. He tweeted that in Uttar Pradesh too, the people led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the people of the state have given their full support to the BJP due to the people-friendly policies of the Central Government. BJP has won six out of seven constituencies in Uttar Pradesh.

  • Yogi most sought-after campaigner in just-concluded Assembly polls

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emerged as the most sought after star poll campaigner as he addressed 74 election meetings in the last 21 days in four poll-bound States.

The poll results of these states will be announced on December 11. In an informal chat with this reporter, Yogi recently said that the public response was quite enthusiastic wherever he addressed rallies.

“The election campaigning was hectic but the response of the people made my visits worthwhile,” Yogi told this reporter at his 5, Kalidas Marg official residence in Lucknow.

“At some places, the response was unexpected. All grounds were full of audience and the people waited for me despite I being late for the meetings at certain places. Going by public response, the BJP is bound to do well in these elections,” Yogi said.

The elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Telangana are being seen as the a semifinal before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The BJP used star campaigners led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi  in these elections. Among the other campaigners, Yogi Adityanath was the most sought after.

Yogi addressed 17 rallies in Madhya Pradesh, 23 in Chhattisgarh and 26 in Rajasthan. He also campaigned in Telangana and addressed eight rallies there. Yogi’s overall tally of poll meetings was the highest for any star campaigner of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The saffron clad Mahant of Gorakhnath temple spoke on Ram and Hindutava in his speeches and even created a controversy by terming Lord Hanuman as a Dalit. His one-liner ‘Ali and Bajrang Bali’ made headlines when he said ‘Aapko Ali mubarak, hamare liye to Bajrangbali hi kaafi hain’.

This may have been a part of design as the party faced tough challenge from a resurgent Congress in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

The BJP worked on a two-pronged strategy. While Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath invoked Ram and Hindutava, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah talked about development.

A senior BJP leader said that Yogi was much in demand in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh but he could not be accommodated properly because of tight schedule.

“The CM used to address rallies the whole day and by the evening he used to fly back to Lucknow and hold meetings with officials,” he said.

Another reason for his increasing demand was that he has a large followers of Nath sect in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

  • Yogi: BJP to rename Hyd, Karimnagar if it forms Govt in T

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said if BJP forms Government in Telangana it would work towards respecting the people’s sentiments by renaming Hyderabad as ‘Bhagyanagar’ and Karimnagar district as ‘Karipuram’.

Addressing election rallies in Karimnagar district and Bodhan town of Nizamabad district, Yogi said: “If BJP comes to power in Telangana, then the BJP will work towards renaming Karimnagar into ‘Karipuram’ and respect your sentiments.

  • Yogi to lead BJP bike rally in Varanasi

Senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and party State president Mahendra Nath Pandey, will hit the road on Saturday by taking part in the Kamal Sandesh Bike Rally to make people aware of the achievements of the Central and the UP Governments.

The bike rally, being organised in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, will be taken out in all the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state with Yogi leading the campaign in Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya will join the bike rally at Prayagraj (Allahabad) and Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma in Lucknow.

BJP state president Mahendra Nath Pandey will lead the rally in his parliamentary constituency Chandauli and BJP general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal in Kannauj, the bastion of Samajwadi Party.

BJP state general secretary and MLA Pankaj Singh, who is son of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, will lead the bike rally in Gorakhpur, the native place of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The party leadership has directed the cadre and leaders to get at least five motorcyclists from each polling booth. All the party leaders, including parliamentarians, legislators and office-bearers, have been directed to ensure full participation in the rally, which will be a show of strength. There are about 1,60,000 polling booths in the 80 parliamentary and 403 assembly constituencies in 75 districts.

The BJP leaders will highlight the flagship schemes like crop loan waiver, Ujjwala, Saubhagya, Swachh Bharat Mission and others among the people.

“We are expecting participation of one lakh party workers and cadre in this mass mobilisation programme, which aims at creating awareness about the good works being done by the Central and the state governments,” senior leader and party state spokesperson Chandra Mohan said here on Friday.

“We are expecting at least 10,000 bikes and over 15,000 partymen in the rally in every parliamentary constituency,” he said.

  • Controversial pontiff Paripoornand joins BJP, likely to contest polls

Swami Paripoornand, a controversial pontiff, on Friday joined the BJP. Interestingly,  many compare him to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his saffron robes.

Paripoornand, head of Sree Peetham of Kakinada was formally welcomed by BJP president Amit Shah by putting the BJP bandana around his shoulders. The ceremony was held at the BJP’s head office in New Delhi. Paripoornand held several rounds of talks with Amit Shah and discussed the political situation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He also met the BJP general secretary and RSS pracharak Ram Madhav earlier in the day.

Paripoornand had hit the headlines a few months ago when he was barred by Hyderabad police from entering the city on charges of making inflammatory speeches. He had tried to take out a protest march in the city against alleged objectionable remarks of a Telugu film critic against Hindu religious figures Rama and Sita.

However the ban was revoked by the Hyderabad HC and he returned to the city in a big procession. According to the sources BJP was planning to field him in one of the assembly constituencies in Hyderabad as he had a large number of followers in the city. Party was likely to use his services in the election campaign in other parts of Telangana as well as AP.

  • Yogi Adityanath to be among star campaigners

With the pride of the BJP at stake, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be among star campaigners for the party in three Central Indian States where Assembly elections are slated for November and December.

A meeting in this connection was held at the CM’s official residence at 5, KD Marg, on Monday night at which the blueprint of Yogi’s forays into neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh was chalked out.

Sources told The Pioneer that the two Deputy Chief Ministers, Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya, might also be asked to address rallies in those States. “But the focus will be on Yogi as requests have started pouring in from these poll-bound states seeking time from the UP Chief Minister,” the sources said.  Assembly elections are also slated for Telangana and Mizoram but Yogi’s electoral participation there is not clear. “The CM might also go to these two States and address rallies there. It all depends on directives from the Central leadership,” he said.

Earlier too, Yogi had been the star campaigner of the BJP and his role in Gujarat was very crucial as he was the most sought after leader after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP’s president Amit Singh. “Yogi’s saffron outfit and sanyasi look sends a loud Hindutva message which has proved beneficial for the party. Therefore, he has been sent to different States for electioneering,” a leader opined.

  • Editorial :- Jetalee Ne Modi Se Haath Kyon Nahi Milaaya?

Why Jaitley did not get the hand in Modi? It is a matter of discussion in the Rajya Sabha.
The Congress has also started looking at this issue with political eyeglasses and the reason for not getting the hand is to mention the growing distances between Jaitley and PM Modi.
In a BBC News, the reason for this is also medical. Before discussing this, I also understand that Jaitley did not mix hands with PM Modi. Even if it happened in an unknown way.

PM Modi is senior to Jaitley ji, so greeting him by not giving a hand to Modi Ji is the essence of Indian culture.
In this regard, I am remembering one sentence. When Yogi Adityanath was in Gorakhnath Math, Ashok Singhal had gone to meet him. By reaching it, Singhal ji began to touch the feet of Yogi ji. The yogi immediately stood up and said, “Singhal ji, I am your volunteer, I should touch your feet.”
Ashok Singhal ji said that I am touching the feet of the abbot of Gorakhnath Math, not Yogi Adityanath.
The second incident related to this is a few days ago. U.P. police officer worshiped Yogi ji as a guru in police uniform and worshiped him. This was discussed in the media. Opposition parties have criticized.
The office of CM Yogi explains that the police officer Yogi Adityanath did not worship the Mahant as Gorakhnath as his guru.
Since Rahul Gandhi was born in Italy, he grew up in Western culture. Nehru himself had said that he was an Englishman with education and that he is a Muslim by culture and is a devious Hindus.
Therefore, Nehru and Rahul’s Congress will not see Jaitley joining hands with Modi. The distance between them will be seen.
