The political temperature in Delhi’s Vidhan Sabha has soared as BJP unleashes sharp criticism against AAP for orchestrating disruptions during the ongoing winter session. Labeling it a ‘calculated conspiracy,’ BJP asserts that AAP is hell-bent on preventing any substantive discussions that could expose its administrative shortcomings.

From the very first day, AAP legislators have been accused of creating pandemonium through coordinated protests and refusals to follow assembly procedures. Opposition Leader Vijender Gupta highlighted how AAP’s antics have wasted precious legislative time. ‘Instead of addressing mohalla clinics failures and Yamuna pollution, they’re playing drama,’ he remarked pointedly.

BJP’s broader narrative frames this as AAP’s panic response to mounting public anger. Recent surveys indicate declining approval ratings for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s government, particularly on education and healthcare fronts. ‘They’re obstructing because they have no answers,’ BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor told reporters.

Assembly records show over a dozen adjournments in just three days, with zero bills passed. Critical matters like women’s safety, pollution control measures, and fiscal planning hang in balance. BJP MLAs staged a sit-in protest, demanding the session be conducted smoothly.

Responding to the accusations, AAP accused BJP of hypocrisy. ‘Those who stalled Parliament 100 times are lecturing us on decorum,’ shot back AAP leader Atishi. Yet, internal BJP sources suggest they’re preparing a privilege motion against disruptive AAP members.

This clash underscores deepening political polarization ahead of future elections. As Delhiites grapple with daily challenges, the question remains: will lawmakers prioritize governance over grandstanding? The winter session’s outcome could significantly impact public perception of both parties.

In a press conference held outside the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, BJP leader Virendra Sachdeva held Chief Minister Atishi responsible for the lack of productivity during the ongoing winter session. He alleged that the AAP leadership orchestrated disruptions to evade scrutiny on their administrative failures. According to Sachdeva, vital discussions regarding the city’s crumbling infrastructure and healthcare system were sidelined. He called the session a ‘lost opportunity’ for the people of Delhi, pinning the blame entirely on Atishi’s leadership style, which he described as confrontational rather than collaborative.

The winter session of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly commenced today with a solemn tribute to individuals who have recently passed away. Lawmakers observed a moment of silence, paying respects to former ministers, elected officials, and other notable figures whose contributions have significantly impacted the state. The session’s proceedings were marked by a somber atmosphere as the assembly honored the memories of the departed. Discussions on important state matters are expected to follow after this period of remembrance. The focus is now on addressing pressing issues and advancing the state’s development agenda throughout the session.

The new Chhattisgarh Assembly building in Nava Raipur is nearing completion, with an expected inauguration on November 1st. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao inspected the construction on July 10th, reporting that the work is scheduled to be finished by September. The inauguration ceremony is anticipated to be graced by either Prime Minister Narendra Modi or President Droupadi Murmu, coinciding with the state’s foundation day. Preparations are underway to make the event a memorable celebration of Chhattisgarh’s 25th anniversary of formation in 2025. During the inspection, Deputy CM Sao experienced the MLA seat in the assembly to ensure comfort. Interior work is progressing rapidly, with the interior of Block A (Assembly Secretariat) and Block C (Ministers’ Chambers) nearly complete. The main auditorium and Block B (Chief Minister and Assembly Speaker’s office) are being prioritized. The new assembly building will showcase Chhattisgarh’s culture and craftsmanship. The building includes a vast 52-acre campus, a house with a seating capacity of 200 members, an auditorium for 500 spectators, parking for 700 cars, and separate chambers for 24 ministers. The monsoon session will be held in the old assembly. The winter session will mark the beginning of meetings in the new assembly.
