Following accusations of vote tampering by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched a scathing attack. Gandhi, who had previously suggested he would reveal a ‘hydrogen bomb’ regarding vote theft, held a press conference where he presented allegations of fraudulent vote deletion. Fadnavis accused Gandhi of spreading lies, particularly regarding his claims of a major revelation. Fadnavis characterized Gandhi’s assertions as empty, dismissing the ‘hydrogen bomb’ as a ‘dud.’ He further stated that Gandhi is a habitual liar, but acknowledged his skill in presenting falsehoods to the national media. Fadnavis contended that Gandhi’s claims were entirely false and that the nation was expecting a significant revelation that never materialized. He accused Gandhi of consistently lying with confidence, without providing evidence, and likened his tactics to those of Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s minister. Fadnavis also alleged that Gandhi’s lies were an insult to the constitution, the judiciary, and the Election Commission. He stated that Gandhi’s strategy would not succeed in India, and that the people of Bihar would continue to support Prime Minister Modi.

Political tensions are rising in India over alleged vote tampering. Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition, recently raised serious concerns about irregularities in the voter list. The Election Commission initially sought an affidavit from Rahul Gandhi regarding these claims and suggested he apologize.
The meeting between opposition MPs and the Election Commission is scheduled for today. The Election Commission has called for the meeting at 12 noon. A day earlier, after Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh requested time to meet with the Election Commission regarding the voter list discrepancies. The Election Commission has responded by inviting a delegation of 30 people for the meeting.

An official letter from the Election Commission of India Secretariat has been sent to Congress MP Jairam Ramesh. The letter states, “The EC has granted an appointment for an interaction at 12:00 PM today. It is requested that, due to the limitation of space, names of up to 30 persons may kindly be intimated…”

The Congress/Opposition delegation will meet the Election Commission at 12 noon today. The Election Commission informed Jairam Ramesh about the meeting via a letter. Today, the opposition MPs will march from Parliament House to the Election Commission at 11:30 AM. The Congress had previously requested a meeting time from the Election Commission. The names of the members included in the delegation from the Congress side have not been revealed yet. It remains to be seen which opposition leaders will be meeting with the Election Commission.

The battle over voter lists continues. Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders are questioning the Election Commission on various grounds. Rahul Gandhi has directly accused the Election Commission of vote theft. He also launched a campaign in this regard the previous day.
