Official sources said that the measures were taken as there was a strong apprehension of breach of peace and public tranquility. In a series of tweets, the Tripura police said some elements were spreading rumours. “Certain persons by using fake social media IDs are spreading fake news/rumours on Tripura. It is informed that law & order situation in the State is absolutely normal,” the police tweeted.

“We request people of all communities not to support & subscribe to such fake IDs and do not spread such fake pictures. We have already registered cases and Legal action will be taken against all those spreading fake news and communally sensitive rumours,” another tweet reads.

Two cases were registered in connection with the violence. One was registered suo motu by the administration while the other was registered based on an FIR filed by some minority organisations, demanding action against the perpetrators of the crime.

The Left parties and the Trinamool Congress accused the BJP of supporting the right wing organisations to gain political mileage in the civic elections to be held next month and the Assembly elections in 2023. The BJP rubbished the charge. The party said action would be taken against all those involved in the violence.

For the past few days, the VHP has been staging protests in parts of the state against the incidents in Bangladesh.

    Express News Service

JAIPUR: Five men have been arrested for assaulting a Muslim beggar who was seeking alms along with his family in the Ramganj area of Rajasthan’s Ajmer district. The video depicting the man being assaulted and told to ‘Go to Pakistan’ went viral on social media.

After the video of the incident went viral, the police registered a case against the accused at Ramganj Police station on 24 August.

In the video, which sparked public outrage, the accused are seen hitting the man accompanied by two children. While beating him, the accused are also seen shouting at him. “Why have you come from Uttar Pradesh? Do you see any shrine here?… I have seen their clip. They steal gold jewellery,” one of the men is heard saying as he accuses the victim and his family of theft. Later, one of the men tells him to “Go to Pakistan. You will get alms there. You won’t get anything here.”

The footage also shows the assailants slapping the victim several times and attempts to kick him. A little later in the clip, the accused force the victim to hand over all the money he has and are seen frisking him.

Initially, the accused were arrested under Section 151 CrPC (arrest to prevent the commission of cognizable offences) which enables easy bail. After public anger intensified, they were booked under stringent sections of the Indian Penal Code which include Section 153 – A (promoting enmity on grounds of religion), 295 A (deliberate, malicious intention of outraging religious beliefs), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 341 (wrongful restraint).

“A video shared on social media shot on August 20 (Friday) shows a beggar being thrashed by some men. While no FIR (first information report) was filed in this case, we took note of the incident ourselves. A probe was ordered,” a police officer said.

“During the probe, we got to know that one man – Lalit Sharma – assaulted the beggar along with four others. While he was arrested on August 20, four others were arrested the following day. They were produced in court. The accused said they assaulted the man because they were involved in some criminal activity, and they were seeking alms only to not get identified,” he further said.

The key accused – Lalit Sharma – has been identified as a member of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Ajmer SP Jagdish Sharma said, “Lalit and his four accomplices have been arrested under Section 151 and we will take tougher action after our probe is completed. Section 151 is a preventive act to ensure that culprits do not repeat their acts. Once our investigation is completed, we will take stronger action.”

The four others arrested are Surendra alias Sonu, Rohit Sharma, Tejvir, and Shailendra Tak.

  • With Rs 2,100 crore in its kitty, Ram temple trust now mulling to launch global donation drive

    Express News Service
LUCKNOW: The Ayodhya Ram temple trust is contemplating a global drive to collect donations after the ‘Samarpan Nidhi Abhiyan’ run by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) volunteers concluded on February 27 with a collection of over Rs 2,100 crore.

According to Mahant Govind Dev Giri, the treasurer of the trust, a lot of requests were pouring in from Ram Bhakts living abroad to launch a global drive for collecting donations.

Giri said that a decision in this connection would be taken by the trust at a meeting of the trustees shortly. “Members will discuss modalities and protocol related to RBI, Finance Ministry, I-T regulations and clearances, to be followed for launching the ‘Samarpan Nidhi Abhiyan’ globally,” said one of the trustees.

The sources claimed that the trust had already deputed an expert to study the subject of global funding and laws and regulations involved to avoid any potential controversy.

In September last year, Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust had applied for the central government’s permission to accept foreign donations as devotees from abroad had started sending donations for the temple to the Trust after PM Narendra Modi had performed the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ on August 5, 2020, said a trust member.

It is to be recalled that the construction cost of the temple has been revised and pegged at Rs 1,500 after changes in its foundation designs. The Trust General Secretary Champat Rai said that more funds will be required for the expansion of the 70 acres temple complex.

However, some other trustees did not rule out the re-launch of the donation drive if the need arose as that the budget for the temple was not final yet. The cost of the temple is bound to increase given its grandeur, magnificent look, and solid structure planned by the trust and engineers engaged in the project.

“The extra funds may be used to renovate and give a grand look to other surrounding temples related to Lord Ram Lala in Ayodhya. The trust will ensure that not a penny donated by Ram Bhakts is wasted,” said the senior member.

Meanwhile, Iqbal Ansari, son of late Hashim Ansari, one of the oldest litigants of Ram Janamabhoomi- Babri mosque dispute, also donated for the temple construction through Gupt Daan (secret donation). Ayodhya-based Ansari donated an unknown sum on behalf of his late father, wife, son, daughter, and himself.

“The temple of Lord Ram will certainly consolidate unity and integrity. It will add a new chapter in the country’s cultural and secular fabric,” said Ansari refusing to divulge the amount he and his family donated.

It is expected, therefore, that the ruckus is fixed on this issue during the winter session. BJP MP Rakesh Sinha has also been asked to bring a private member bill on this issue. In such a situation within the Parliament, then this matter will be warmed. Even outside the Parliament, it will be preparing for this matter from the saints and saints. On the other hand, in the meeting of the High Council of Saints with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in October, under the prescribed formula, till December, an attempt is being made to create an environment across the country.

In the end, I want to make it clear that even the Saints’ Committee, the Vishvahindu Parishad or any other organization may create an environment in the aggressive form of temple construction but no such move will be taken by them, which will cause any kind of trouble to the government.

It is a glimpse of the fact that CM Yogi has got what he has said after the two-day saint’s conference.

  • Editorial :- CBI Kaand Mein Haath hai Haath ka…

What will be the issue in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections like 2014, Moin Qureshi?
The lines of controversy arising between the top executives of the CBI are directly related to the Mita businessman Moin Qureshi. During the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Narendra Modi had put the UPA 2 government in jeopardy, describing the relationship between a Meite Export Company and Havala in a election meeting and a close aide of 10 Janpath. This issue has helped the BJP reach the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Now the alleged scandal of the CBI, the biggest investigating agency in the country, has come out due to the same Miyan Quraishi businessman. The elections of 2019 are close and in such a situation, the opposition Congress, especially the Congress, has defeated Mr. Satish Sana, a prominent leader of the Moin Quraishi, to defeat Modi’s weapon, which is a hoax in the CBI’s Asthana, which can be defamed by the Modi government.

But the Modi government has entrusted the Vigilance Commission to carry forward the investigation work of the CBI scam. This will clear the situation in a few days.

The manner in which the anti-Modi anti-government forces had created anarchy in the backdrop of the four Chief Justices for defaming the Supreme Court, in the same way, the conspiracy to defame the CBI and denigrate the Modi government is possible.

In the manner in which the then President of Togadia and President Raghava Reddy of the then Vishwa Hindu Parishad had done the trick but he could not succeed. In the same way, the scandal that is going on in the CBI seems to have ended and there will be no harm to the CBI image.

The CBI spokesperson has rightly said that the person is not for the country, CBI will not be bad. Similarly, after the completion of the Togadia era, the office bearers who came to the VHP also said that in any institution, especially in VHP the person is not of the importance. People go to the institution then they go. The importance of the institution remains.

Moin Qureshi was arrested for the first time during the 2014 elections. Narendra Modi also took his name during his rallies in 2014. Moin Qureshi had, at times, told his mouth during the UPA regime that he was getting the protection of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and could not take any action.

In his rallies, Narendra Modi had said that during the Congress rule, Qureshi had such a good relationship with the Congress that even after being in the radar, he had never been questioned. There is a long list of Congress leaders associated with Moines. All these are being investigated. This is the reason behind the CBI bribery scandal.

Last year, the arrest of Nimbalkar and Assistant Director NB Singh in the Lucknow court of ED was just a start. Through this raid, the CBI got an opportunity to enter the enforcement office and investigate the necessary documents. The CBI sources had said that the official information received from the SSP of Rampur was kept under the enforcement diarateate and did not allow him to investigate the activities of the Mita trader Moin Qureshi.

The ED has several pending complaints related to money laundering, which have not been investigated. Former CBI director Parvot of the alleged cage, CBI documents in the context of Ranjit Sinha show that Moin Qureshi visited his car (DL-12-CC-1138) several times to meet his CBI director Ranjit Sinha. Qureshi’s wife Nasreen Qureshi also went to meet Sinha for at least five times from her car (DL-7-CG-3436).

Both cars of Qureshi Dapti are registered with the name of their company AMU Frozen Food Pvt Ltd and C-134, Ground Lor, Defense Colony, New Delhi. Both of these cars have also been moving at the residence of Congress President Sonia Gandhi several times, in which Moeen and his wife are boarding.

Moin Qureshi’s daughter Parnia Qureshi has been married to Congress leader Jitin Prasad’s relative Arjun Prasad. Many leaders like senior Congress leaders Ahmed Patel, Kamal Nath, RPN Singh, Mohammed Azharuddin and Shashi Tharoor are among the top leaders in this list. These are the names of leaders who are going to sit on the house of Moin Qureshi regularly. The Moin family has been sitting regularly at Sonia’s house.

A charge sheet has been filed against Mune Qureshi, a charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate during the Modi government’s rule. Congressman and other politicians who make scams after one trillion rupees after the last one escape from the grip of the law and if Narendra Modi does not become the Prime Minister, then all of these never openly appear.

According to the charge sheet, Qureshi used the services of Pakistan’s Hawala operators to transfer money abroad. Quraishi was using Hawala operator Parvez Ali and his cousin Farooq, who worked in Dubai Sanchez, to transfer money to Europe including other countries around the world. Qureshi had “collected” Rs 7.5 crore from two businessmen Pradeep Koneru and Satish Sena. This is what Satish Sana has been a villain in the CBI case.

Qureshi had promised Pradeep Koneru and Satish Sana to name the former CBI director Ranjit Sinha and AP Singh and they would help him in the cases of ongoing CBI. This is confirmed by the statements of BBM messages and witnesses.

Pradeep Koneru (who was previously accused in this case), witnessed in the money laundering case Pradeep Koneru Money Laundering case, said that Moin Kuresh
