The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is a forested, tribal-dominated and mineral-rich region, where special package is expected for industrial development.

    The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is deprived of coal block despite having large reserves of mineral coal in Chhattisgarh. Hence coal block should be allotted for Chhattisgarh’s public sector unit. After 2014, the royalty rates of minerals have not increased due to irreparable damage to the state government. Therefore, the royalty rates should be revised soon. The Chief Minister has also requested not to disinvest the Nagarnar Steel Plant of Bastar in the meeting. He said that a government resolution in this regard has also been passed in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly.

  • Economic situation of cowherds is improving with the Godhan Nyaya Yojana: Shri Bhupesh Baghel

    Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today transferred Rs. 5 crore 12 lakh as the 10th installment of cow dung in the account of the beneficiaries of the state government’s Godhan Nyaya Yojana to the account of the cowherds. Under this scheme more than 1 lakh 40 thousand cattle rearers of the state are getting benefited.
    Addressing the event organized through video conferencing from his office located in the Vidhan Sabha premises, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that under the Godan Nyaya Yojana, an amount of Rs 64 crore 20 lakh has been given to the cowherds so far. This is changing their economic situation. New employment opportunities are being created and farmers are moving towards organic farming. Thousands of rural women are working on vermicompost production along with cow dung in Godan Nyaya Yojana. The selling rate of vermi compost has been increased from Rs 8 per kg to Rs 10 per kg. New employment opportunities are being created through this scheme. Farmers who are using vermi compost are moving towards organic farming. Mr. Baghel said that the price of cereals and fruits produced in organic farming increases by one and a half times. This will also significantly increase the income of farmers. He congratulated and congratulated all the beneficiaries associated with the Godhan scheme. Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey and Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. M. Geeta were present on the occasion.

Farmers have donated a para worth about Rs 5 crore in Gothanas. Azola is being produced as cattle feed in Gothanas. Which is constantly increasing. He informed that 78 thousand 47 vermi stitches were approved for the manufacture of vermi compost in Gothan, out of which 54 thousand 241 vermi stitches have been completed and construction of 16 thousand 810 vermi stitches is in progress. Dr. Geeta informed that vermi compost samples are being tested in two laboratories of Raipur, one each in Durg, Bilaspur, Surguja, Bastar and Raigarh. So far 1,006 samples have been analyzed. He also informed that among the beneficiaries of Godan Nyaya Yojana, 47.5 percent beneficiaries belong to Other Backward Classes, 44 percent beneficiaries are women and 41 percent beneficiaries belong to Scheduled Tribes and 7.80 percent beneficiaries belong to Scheduled Castes.

  • Chhattisgarh government hiked minimum selling rate of vermi compost from Rs 8 to Rs 10 per kg

    The Chhattisgarh government has increased the minimum selling rate of vermi compost produced in Gothan from Rs 8 per kg to a minimum of Rs 10 per kg. On the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, an order to this effect has been issued by the Commissioner of Agricultural Production.

    It is known that this year, the state’s first-of-its-kind cow dung procurement scheme has been launched from the Hareli festival, the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, under which cow dung is being purchased from the villagers, farmers and livestock at Rs 2 per kg. So far, Rs. 59.08 crore has been paid by the Chief Minister to the online accounts of 1.36 lakh dung vendors in the Godhan Nyaya Yojana as the value of cow dung purchased from them.

    Under the Suraji Village Scheme of the Government of Chhattisgarh, out of 6430 Gothans approved in the state, the work of cow dung is being done in 4487 Gothanas. So far, 44 thousand stitches have been manufactured and 16 thousand stitches are being made in Gauthano to make vermi compost from the dung purchased. So far, 8000 quintal vermi compost has been produced in the state and 1000 quintal vermi compost has been sold. Thousands of women self-help groups of the state are working to make vermicompost from cow dung in Gothan, their income will increase by increasing the minimum sale rate of vermi compost. Under this scheme, the state government also plans to set up a laboratory to check the quality of vermi compost in every district of the state.

  • Sale of vermicompost started in Gothan

    Sale of vermi compost has started in the Gauthans of Kanker district. Vermi compost is being prepared by the women self-help group from cow dung purchased in Gothan, which is being sold to farmers and government agencies through cooperative societies. A person desirous of purchasing vermi compost first has to obtain a slip or token by going to the cooperative society of his area and after that he has to go to the Gauthan Samiti to show the slip, on the basis of which he is given vermi compost from Gauthan. .
    So far, 308 quintal vermi compost of Rs. 02 lakh 46 thousand 400 has been sold from Gauthans in Kanker district. 35 quintals in Harangarh Gowthan of Koylibeda development block, 47 quintals in Karramad of Durgukondal and 03 quintals in Dangra, 35 quintals in Pudgaon of Antagarh, 40 quintals in Garhchhichwadi of Kanker, 35 quintals in Mungwal of Bhanupratappur, 40 quintals in Manpur and 40 quintals of Kanharpur in Narharpur. In 07 quintal, 27 quintal in Lakhanpuri of Charama, 26 quintal in Charama, 15 quintal in Bhuigaon and 15 quintal vermi compost from Gauthan in Tarasgaon have been sold at the rate of Rs 08 per kg. Currently 799 quintal vermi compost is available for sale in 42 Gothans of the district, which have been packed in 30 kg, 05 kg and 02 kg bags.

  • Gouthans are becoming the basis of economic prosperity in the villages of Chhattisgarh

    In this regard, Deendayal Yadav said that it is necessary to have cow dung at least 1 week old to make high quality vermi compost. The same is being made by making the West de Composer and Jeevamrit to make good manure within 45 days. Along with this, complete information is being given about the management of earthworms properly and ways of packaging the compost. He informed that the vermi compost being prepared by the women of the group will be sold directly in the service cooperative societies at the rate of Rs 8 per kg.
