Suzuki has refreshed its Ertiga MPV, responding to the growing demand in the 7-seater segment. The updates aim to keep the Ertiga competitive with rivals like the Carens and Triber. Key changes include a redesigned spoiler with black accents across all trims. The AC vents have been repositioned from the roof to the rear of the center console, and the third row now has independent vents with adjustable controls. Furthermore, USB-C charging ports have been added in the second and third rows for enhanced convenience. The Ertiga retains its 1.5-liter petrol engine, which produces 102 BHP and 136.8 Nm of torque, with transmission options including a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. A CNG option is available with the manual gearbox. Prices now start at Rs 8.80 lakh (Ex Showroom) following Post GST 2.0 reforms. The VXI CNG 5MT and the VXI 1.5L 5MT are positioned as the most affordable options, balancing price and features.

For those who frequently travel and carry their laptops, battery life can be a major concern. Running out of power during work, especially without readily available charging options, is a common problem. However, there’s a smart solution. A device exists that allows you to charge your laptop directly from your car. Here’s a detailed look at how it works.

Charging a laptop in a car presents challenges because cars typically have a 12V power outlet, suitable for smaller devices like phones. Laptops, however, require more power, usually between 45W and 90W.

One solution is a car power inverter. This device converts the car’s 12V DC power into 220V AC power, allowing you to plug in your laptop charger, just as you would at home. Car inverters are available online and in electronic stores, offering power outputs from 300W to 500W.

Another option is a car laptop charger adapter. Specifically designed for laptop charging, you can connect it directly to your car and then to your laptop. These adapters often have a voltage control system to prevent damage to the laptop. You can find quality adapters from various brands.

When choosing a device, it’s crucial to check the power rating to ensure it matches both your car and laptop’s requirements. Avoid low-quality inverters, as they could damage your laptop. It’s also recommended to keep the car’s engine running while charging to prevent battery drain.

If your laptop has a USB-C port and supports PD charging, a USB-C Car Charger (65W or 100W) can be a convenient alternative.
