Revenue expenditure rose by 14.99%, yet it was ₹7,999.58 crore less than the budget estimates. A revenue surplus of ₹11,252.08 crore was recorded during this period. The state received ₹165.63 crore as Goods and Services Tax (GST) compensation during the fiscal year 2023-24. Amidst the presentation of the supplementary budget by the state government, the House witnessed an uproar. BJP MLAs Satyendra Nath Tiwari and Raj Sinha proposed a cut motion. Raj Sinha demanded a cut of ₹10, which the Speaker of the Assembly disallowed. Consequently, Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato adjourned the proceedings until 2 PM due to the opposition’s uproar.
