  • Amazon Studios greenlights third season of ‘Upload’

    MUMBAI:  Amazon Studios on Thursday announced that it has renewed the fan favourite sci-fi comedy series “Upload”, from Emmy Award-winning writer Greg Daniels, for a third season.

    Daniels is best known for his work on hit shows such as “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation”. The second season of “Upload” premiered March 11, this year.

    “Upload” is a sci-fi comedy series set in a technologically advanced future where hologram phones, 3D food printers, and automated grocery stores are the norm.

    Most uniquely, humans can choose to be “uploaded” into a virtual afterlife. “‘Upload’ has become a bonafide hit that continues to be one of the most-watched comedy originals on Prime Video,” said Vernon Sanders, head of global television, Amazon Studios.

    The series continues to connect and provoke endless possibilities for the future of technology and humanity. With Greg’s distinct comedic take along with the dynamic creative team and talented actors, they’ve made a globally relevant series which we’re all incredibly proud to bring back another season for our customers.

    Creator and Executive Producer Greg Daniels said, “I’m thrilled to continue the story of Nathan and Nora and the other residents of Lakeview and near-future America as they try to have fun and do the right thing in both the real and virtual worlds.

     In season two, Nathan is at a crossroads in his (after) life: His ex-girlfriend Ingrid has unexpectedly arrived to Lakeview hoping to strengthen their relationship, but his heart still secretly yearns for his customer service angel, Nora.

    Meanwhile, Nora is off the grid and involved with the anti-tech rebel group,The Ludds.

     Daniels also serves as executive producer along with Howard Klein on the show that features Robbie Amell as Nathan, Andy Allo as Nora, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, Owen Daniels as A.I Guy, Josh Banday as Ivan, and Andrea Rosen as Lucy.

  • Chhattisgarh ran with Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel

    The entire Chhattisgarh ran today with Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel took part in a virtual marathon held in Chhattisgarh this morning to mark the completion of two years of the new government. He raced wearing a T-shirt and uploaded his photos on social media.

    Chhattisgarh, along with Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, participated in this marathon today. In all parts of the state, people of every class and age played their part in it.

    After joining the virtual marathon, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that with me the people of Chhattisgarh and the self-respect of Chhattisgarh are running, you also run.

    Food representatives of the State Government, Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, School Education Minister Dr. Premasay Singh Tekam, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Women and Child Development Mrs. Anila Wolf, Excise Minister Mr. Kavasi Lakhma and other public representatives also participated in the virtual marathon.

    In the capital Raipur, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain and Director General of Police Shri DM Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrata Sahu, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Rakesh Chaturvedi and a large number of public representatives, dignitaries and administrative officers attended it.

    This virtual marathon race was organized for the first time in Chhattisgarh by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department and Public Relations Department of the state government. Virtual Marathon – Thousands of people participated in ‘Run with Chhattisgarh’ on the theme of “Chhat ha Abhiman’s Chhattisgarh”. Over 70 thousand people have registered for the marathon. People from all parts of Chhattisgarh participated in it. Children, youth and elderly all ran with great enthusiasm.

    The most notable thing about this virtual marathon is that the people of the country participated in it following the rules of Kovid-19. Without crowding anywhere, people have been following social distancing in their homes, gardens, grounds, roads and other places and are uploading videos or photos of some seconds on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag # runwithchhattisgarh.

  • Air quality continues to be ‘severe’ in National Capital

    Air quality in Delhi continued to be severely polluted with parts of the city recording Air Quality Index (AQI) in the “severe” category on Friday.

    As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Anand Vihar recorded an AQI of 408, while Bawana, Patparganj and Wazirpur recorded AQIs of 447, 404 and 411 respectively, all four in the “severe” category. To tackle the rising air pollution, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday launched the “Green Delhi” app, which would enable people to register complaints about violation of anti-pollution norms.

    Today we are launching the Green Delhi app to involve every citizen. You can file any kind of complaint regarding pollution via this app, which is available on the Play Store. If you witness industrial pollution or dust, you can upload its video, picture, or audio. Automatically the location will be sent to us,” said Kejriwal.
