Prime Minister Narendra Modi painted an exciting picture for India’s business landscape during a webinar following the Union Budget presentation. He asserted that companies pouring investments into clean and green energy are poised to break into the world’s top markets amid shifting global supply dynamics.

Addressing industry leaders, PM Modi reiterated the budget’s role in fortifying economic momentum. Sustainable practices like carbon capture and storage are no longer optional—they’re essential business strategies, he noted, praising the budget’s comprehensive support structure.

Success hinges on collective action. From industry captains to grassroots stakeholders, everyone must shoulder responsibilities. PM Modi encouraged ongoing dialogue between policymakers and businesses to refine government initiatives.

India’s economy is on a fast track to becoming a global powerhouse. With supply chains realigning worldwide, PM Modi’s vision emphasizes ramped-up manufacturing, production, connectivity, and exports. Clean energy investments are the golden ticket to premium global opportunities.

Budget highlights include a historic Rs 32,914 crore for renewable energy, with Rs 22,000 crore dedicated to the PM Surya Ghar scheme for widespread solar adoption. The Green Energy Corridor gets Rs 600 crore to bolster grid integration, while the Green Hydrogen Mission is funded at Rs 600 crore through 2026-27.

Spotlighting key sectors, PM Modi hailed manufacturing, logistics, MSMEs, and tier-2 cities as growth engines. Four thematic post-budget sessions explore manufacturing innovation, MSME market access, urban development, and logistics revolutions.

Participants will unpack budget measures designed to supercharge industry, foster competition, and spur employment. This isn’t mere policy—it’s India’s blueprint for green-led global dominance.

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav unleashed a barrage of questions on the Centre during Tuesday’s Lok Sabha session discussing the Union Budget. At the heart of his attack was the freshly inked interim trade pact with the US, which he dismissed as a ‘diluted compromise’ unworthy of the hype.

Details emerging from Washington suggest India has slashed duties on select imports to 18 percent and waived tariffs entirely on others, prompting Trump to boast of a breakthrough. Yet, New Delhi’s reticence has left room for opposition skepticism.

‘What came first—the budget or this deal?’ Yadav demanded, casting doubt on the sequencing of fiscal planning and trade negotiations. He warned that hasty FTAs could jeopardize the rupee and local industries, especially after an 11-month delay that frustrated Indian exporters.

Yadav challenged the BJP’s free trade ambitions: ‘They want deals everywhere, but what will be the real fallout?’ He spotlighted the agreement’s lopsided nature, questioning how it aligns with Atmanirbhar Bharat slogans. ‘A $500 million one-way street—does zero equal 18 now?’

Extending his critique to the budget, Yadav decried its failure to address the needs of backward classes, Dalits, and tribals. This comes as India navigates post-pandemic recovery, making trade policy a flashpoint in parliamentary discourse.

With businesses awaiting clarity, Yadav’s pointed remarks signal escalating political battles over economic direction, potentially reshaping India’s global trade stance.

In a spirited defense of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, BJP leader and former minister Smriti Irani declared that Parliament treats all women lawmakers with absolute equality. Speaking in Surat, she recounted her 10 years in the Lower House, where she witnessed Birla’s unwavering support for female MPs from diverse backgrounds to express their views freely and engage deeply in policy debates.

‘Women have never been overlooked; equal rights and respect are the norm,’ Irani affirmed, sharing instances from her tenure. Birla’s tenure has notably boosted women’s active involvement, aligning with the Modi government’s empowerment initiatives.

Irani underscored the Speaker’s role in upholding House dignity, particularly during tense moments like the Prime Minister’s budget gratitude address, which opposition protests marred. Birla navigated these challenges with poise and neutrality.

She hailed the latest Union Budget as a masterstroke for the underprivileged, prepared with profound insight by the PM and his team. Yet, opposition parties continue to oppose it vehemently. At a vibrant Surat conclave with industry stalwarts from textiles, finance, jewelry, and small businesses, the budget received unanimous praise alongside tributes to PM Modi.

True endorsement comes from the grassroots, Irani argued, slamming the opposition’s unproductive stance that dooms them to opposition benches indefinitely.

In a resounding endorsement of youth empowerment, Patna’s Aayushi Arya, who presented at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, asserts that India’s young brigade is central to fulfilling PM Narendra Modi’s pledge for a developed nation by 2047.

This landmark dialogue underscores PM Modi’s vision of harnessing youth energy for national progress, providing a direct channel for young ideas to influence policy and long-term planning.

As a My Bharat volunteer and graduate student from Bihar’s capital, Aayushi captivated the audience—including the Prime Minister—with her presentation on women-led growth models. Speaking exclusively to IANS, she recounted the electrifying experience: ‘Representing my generation’s voice was an honor, and the leadership’s enthusiastic response affirmed that our inputs matter.’

Aayushi quoted PM Modi portraying youth as an independent think tank, brimming with innovative thoughts. She was thrilled to see Gen Z’s imaginative and forward-thinking qualities celebrated, countering stereotypes. ‘Youth are transitioning from observers to architects of policy,’ she observed, hailing the event as a game-changer that elevates young voices to governance’s apex.

The Union Budget’s spotlight on the dialogue was a high point, with the Finance Minister labeling it youth-centric. This integration of young leaders’ suggestions into fiscal strategies signals a new era.

Aayushi lauded the orange economy push—focusing on content creation, cultural sectors, and digital influencers—as perfectly aligned with Gen Z’s digital prowess. Such recognition promises to revitalize India’s economic landscape.

She applauded advancements in Digital India, drone technology, defense, and cutting-edge tech, predicting they will catapult India onto the global stage. ‘Self-reliance in drones and defense will inspire worldwide,’ she said.

With faith in youth and women driving development, Aayushi is optimistic: ‘Viksit Bharat@2047 rests on our young innovators.’ Reiterating PM Modi’s call to shift from job hunters to creators, she motivated peers to embrace tech, startups, and innovation. Backed by self-belief and policy support, India’s youth hold the key to superpower status.

In Rampur on February 2, senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi lauded the Central Budget as a continuation of inclusive growth and universal empowerment under Modi 3.0.

Speaking candidly, Naqvi portrayed the budget as the tangible echo of self-reliant India’s roar—a gazette that solidifies the pledge for a developed nation. Free from the frenzy of rushed decisions and messy improvisations, it radiates progress and public faith.

Naqvi highlighted how Modi’s steady stewardship has kept India on course even as global economies falter. This fiscal blueprint charts a path to economic resilience, balancing external shocks with domestic demands to foster unwavering stability.

Dismissing detractors, Naqvi quipped that their ire is directed at Modi’s governance prowess, which has upended their electoral calculus. The budget’s holistic approach—prioritizing farmers, laborers, youngsters, and women—effectively champions the entire 1.4 billion populace, linking all to development’s core.

Responding to Sanjay Raut’s accusations against BJP over Ajit Pawar, Naqvi noted Sharad Pawar’s own reprimand against exploiting sensitive issues. Regarding UP’s madrasa funding investigation, he advocated scrutiny of any institutional lapses, insisting education centers must remain insulated from radical influences. Government intervention is non-negotiable to safeguard national integrity.

In a fiery address spanning Maharashtra politics to global affairs, BJP MLA Ram Kadam dissected the brewing NCP merger speculation with piercing skepticism. He pointed out the glaring anomaly: no merger murmurs when Ajit Pawar was alive. Sharad Pawar or others never broached unity then. ‘These talks ignite only post his demise—smacks of foul play,’ Kadam asserted, hinting at a sinister political undercurrent.

Upholding coalition decorum, Kadam urged any decision-makers to approach CM Devendra Fadnavis first. The Chief Minister’s firm denial underscores these as baseless concoctions, he noted, aimed at misleading the public.

On India-Pakistan cricket ties, Kadam evoked national pride. Indian cricketers have humbled Pakistan on pitches, mirroring victories across borders. ‘This is Modi’s India—bold enough to enter foe homes,’ he proclaimed. Match calls lie with authorities, but Pakistan’s fear of resurgent India lingers.

Kadam lambasted Mamata Banerjee’s fury against voter roll purges. Special Intensive Revision exposed millions of bogus names, including Bangladeshi infiltrators bolstering her base. Her opposition stems from seat-saving desperation, not principle, he alleged.

Celebrating the Union Budget’s worldwide praise, Kadam ridiculed Congress’s monotonous critiques. From 2014 to now, Rahul Gandhi and Kharge’s responses are carbon copies. ‘Change the writer,’ he jabbed, accusing them of shunning India’s ascent.

Addressing Sunetra Pawar row, Kadam clarified: faction MLAs’ choice led to her Dy CM post. Targeting CM or legislators now exposes opposition’s immature tactics.

In a major push for medical advancement, the Union Budget has granted AIIMS Delhi a special allocation of Rs 5,500.92 crore – up 5.85% from last year. This infusion is set to revolutionize research and innovation at one of India’s most revered medical centers.

Dr. Reema Dada, spokesperson for AIIMS Hospital’s media cell, shared insights on the allocation’s impact. ‘This funding will enable us to intensify state-of-the-art research in diverse medical fields and promote innovative healthcare solutions,’ she noted in an exclusive interview.

Key priorities include strengthening ongoing research efforts, enhancing service delivery through novel approaches, and supporting comprehensive institutional growth. Dr. Reema stressed that the emphasis will be on both scientific breakthroughs and tangible improvements in patient care.

Beyond clinical services, AIIMS contributes significantly to policy formulation and medical training. The additional resources will amplify these efforts, ensuring better patient services, skilled workforce development, and contributions to medical science evolution.

This strategic investment reflects the central government’s focus on fortifying major health establishments. By prioritizing innovation and resilience, it aims to elevate India’s health infrastructure to global standards, promising long-term benefits for public health.

During an IANS interview, Javed clarified Congress’s stance on departures. ‘Ahmad’s view is utterly incorrect. No one is expelled whimsically; leaders exit voluntarily. We maintain no animosity towards them,’ he stated, aiming to quash rumors of internal purges.

The conversation pivoted to budget expectations. Javed called for measures tackling unemployment head-on. ‘Jobs have dried up nationwide, leaving youth anxious. The government must focus here in the budget to bring relief,’ he stressed.

He warned against favoritism. ‘Don’t prioritize cronies; address citizens’ issues,’ Javed advised. Optimism lingers for a solid budget, though its proof will come with implementation.

Regarding seat-sharing with DMK in Tamil Nadu, Javed remained unfazed. ‘Allies demand strong seats for victory. This happens everywhere; our talks are progressing towards a positive outcome.’

Javed unleashed on Bihar’s administration, decrying women’s insecurity. ‘The state is ruined—promises evaporated post-election.’ He accused BJP’s expanding presence of fueling violence against women. ‘More BJP MLAs mean more crimes. Immediate, firm steps are needed for safety.’

These remarks signal Congress’s aggressive outreach, championing Gandhi while exposing rivals’ shortcomings in a high-stakes political season.
