  • From beginning I am standing with farmers: Arvind Kejriwal to Punjab CM

     Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday slammed Punjab Chief Minister Captain (retired) Amarinder Singh stating that from the beginning he was standing in support of the farmers.

    In a tweet in Hindi, citing a media report Kejriwal said, “Captain ji from the beginning I am standing with the farmers. I fought with the Centre and did now allow the stadiums in Delhi to become jails. I am serving the farmers.

    ”Levelling allegations against the Punjab Chief Minister, Kejriwal asked, “You have done setting with the Centre to get the ED case on your son forgiven, sold the farmers agitation? Why?”

    In another tweet, Kejriwal said, “Fast is pious. Wherever you are, do fast for farmers. Pray to God for the success of their struggle. In the end, the victory will be of farmers.”

    Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister had targeted his Delhi counterpart Kejriwal for exploiting the ongoing agitation of the farmers to further the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) petty electoral agenda in Punjab with “blatant lies and brazenly false propaganda”. Cornering Kejriwal, the Punjab Chief Minister went on to call the AAP chief a “shameless liar”.

  • PM Modi condoles deaths in Chittorgarh road accident

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday condoled the loss of lives in a road accident in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh district.

    “Pained by the loss of lives due to an accident at Nikumbh, Chittorgarh. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. I wish the injured a speedy recovery,” the Prime Minister’s Office tweeted.

    At least 10 people were killed and several others injured in a collision between a jeep and a trailer truck in the Nikumbh Police area.

    Sources informed that about 16 people were in one of the vehicles and were residents of Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam district. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot too took to Twitter to express his grief.

    “Saddened to know of a road accident in Nikumbh, Chittorgarh, in which many people have lost lives. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. May they find strength. Prayers for speedy recovery of those injured,” Gehlot tweeted. (ANI)

  • All party meeting today to discuss the situation of corona virus, PM Modi will preside

  • PM Modi greets Border Security Force on its raising day

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted the Border Security Force, which guards the country’s international border, on its raising day and said India is proud of it.  The BSF has distinguished itself as a valorous force, unwavering in its commitment to protecting the nation and assisting citizens during natural calamities, he said in a tweet. 

    The BSF was raised on this day in 1965 with a purpose to guard India’s international border with Pakistan and later with Bangladesh too when it became an independent country in 1971.

    BSF personnel have also been deployed in the past to deal with internal challenges, including in counter-terrorism operations in Kashmir.
