Maruti Suzuki, a leading car manufacturer in India, is set to introduce a hybrid version of its popular Fronx model, signaling a strategic shift towards hybrid technology. Reports indicate that the company has begun testing the hybrid variant of the Fronx, with sightings during testing in the country. This suggests an imminent launch by Maruti Suzuki.

Notably, the test model included LIDAR sensors, hinting at the possibility of the hybrid Fronx featuring an ADAS system, potentially with Level-2 ADAS. The introduction of Level-2 ADAS in the upcoming Fronx would follow the e-Vitara, the first Maruti car to incorporate this safety feature, indicating a trend of enhancing safety features across other models.

The prototype, observed during testing, resembles the existing petrol version, with the primary distinction being a hybrid badge at the rear. This hybrid variant is based on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno crossover, slated to be sold through the Nexa showroom network.

The forthcoming Maruti Suzuki Fronx hybrid is expected to be equipped with a new Super 48V hybrid system. This system will combine an electric motor with either a new 1.0-liter or a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine. The design and other features are expected to remain largely unchanged, but with added Level-2 ADAS features alongside existing safety features.

Specific details on power, torque, and mileage (fuel efficiency) have yet to be released by the company. The launch timeline remains undisclosed, though the uncovered appearance of the car during testing suggests it might launch within the current year. The Fronx has quickly become the fastest-exported crossover from India, achieving a milestone of 100,000 units exported within 25 months since June 2023. The hybrid version is also likely to be exported to major international markets.

Skoda is preparing to introduce the new Octavia RS sedan on Indian roads by November 2025. This performance sedan will be offered as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) in limited numbers. While the official price will be announced in the coming months, media reports suggest a price tag of approximately Rs 50-55 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Skoda Octavia RS boasts a powerful powertrain. This fourth-generation model is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine, generating a maximum of 265 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. This engine is also found in the Volkswagen Golf GTI. A 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox will be provided for transmission. It will feature a front-wheel drive (FWD) system and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential on the front axle.

This performance sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The braking system includes 340 x 30 mm ventilated disc brakes at the front and 310 x 22 mm ventilated disc brakes at the rear. Unlike the global model, which comes with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive suspension system, the India-spec variant will not have this feature.

The new Skoda Octavia RS comes with several premium features, including a 13-inch touchscreen system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and satellite navigation, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, sport seats with contrasting red stitching and carbon decor, aluminum pedals, a flat-bottom RS steering wheel, tri-zone climate control, heated front and rear seats, a panoramic sunroof (optional), and more.

In terms of safety, the Skoda Octavia RS offers multiple airbags, electronic stability control, front assist with city emergency brake, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, driver alert system, blind spot detection, and more. It has a boot space of 600 liters, which can be expanded to 1,555 liters by folding the rear seats.

Regarding the exterior, the Skoda Octavia RS features a new design grille with black detailing, sporty RS-specific front and rear bumpers, LED matrix headlamps with new crystalline elements, alloy wheels, new LED rear lights with animated indicators, a sports exhaust system, and a motion-activated tailgate.

Mahindra recently introduced the XUV 3XO RevX, a new variant featuring a turbo-petrol engine. This model boasts several appealing features. The automatic version with a 1.2-liter TGDi engine is priced around ₹13 lakh (ex-showroom). It directly competes with the Hyundai Venue N Line’s base model, the N6, which also offers an automatic transmission in the same price range. Considering a budget of approximately ₹13 lakh, which car should you choose between the XUV 3XO RevX and the Venue N Line N6? Let’s explore the key differences.

**Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX vs. Hyundai Venue N Line: Price**
The Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX automatic is priced similarly to the Venue N Line N6 DCT. The Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX AT is priced at ₹12.99 lakh, while the Hyundai Venue N Line N6 DCT is priced at ₹12.94 lakh.

**Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX vs. Hyundai Venue N Line: Engine**
The Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX features a larger 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine. This engine offers more power, generating 11 PS more and 58 Nm more torque compared to the Venue N Line’s 1-liter turbo-petrol engine. The XUV 3XO RevX is equipped with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, while the Venue N Line has a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

**Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX vs. Hyundai Venue N Line: Features**
Both SUVs offer a range of excellent features, including LED headlights with DRLs, connected LED tail lights, leatherette upholstery, a wireless phone charger, cruise control, and a 6-speaker sound system. For passenger safety, both cars include 6 airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a rear parking camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

**Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX vs. Hyundai Venue N Line**
The Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX offers an advantage with some features. It includes a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an auto-dimming IRVM, all of which are absent in the Venue N Line. However, the Venue N Line N6 includes paddle shifters, metal pedals, puddle lamps, and disc brakes on all wheels.

**Which SUV Should You Buy?**
The Hyundai Venue N Line N6 is designed for driving enthusiasts, with its robust suspension setup and enhanced dynamics compared to the standard Venue, making it more capable on the road. It also features sporty touches with paddle shifters and metal pedals.

However, the Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX comes with a more comprehensive package. It offers more space, a more powerful engine, and more features, including dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and a full digital driver display. The XUV 3XO appears to be a better value-for-money product in this price range, making it the more suitable choice between the two.
