  • ‘The Terminal List’ renewed for season 2 at Prime Video

    Chris Pratt’s series The Terminal List has been renewed for a second season by Amazon Prime Studios. The show will be becoming a franchise for Amazon studios and MRC. 

    According to the deadline, the announcement came as part of a new deal that will include a new spinoff show starring Taylor Kitsch. The Terminal List tells the story of Lieutenant Commander James Reece after his Navy SEALs are ambushed while on a covert mission.

    On further investigation, he discovers the dark forces working against him and endangering his life and the lives of those people he loves.

    Chris Pratt plays the character of Lieutenant Commander James Reece and also serves as an executive producer of both the original show and the upcoming spinoff alongside David DiGilio and Antoine Fuqua. Apart from Pratt, the show also featured Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, Riley Keough and Jeanne Tripplehorn.

  • Amazon casts Jai Courtney for Chris Pratt-starrer thriller series ‘The Terminal List’

    WASHINGTON: Australian actor Jai Courtney has been cast for the Amazon thriller series, ‘The Terminal List’, opposite Hollywood star Chris Pratt.

    According to Variety, the series will follow James Reece (Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. He returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability.

    However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves.

    Courtney will appear in the recurring guest star role of Steve Horn, the billionaire kingpin behind Capstone Industries. Capstone is an enormously successful global fund with its hand in everything from pharmaceuticals to fashion.

    But Horn’s bread and butter are capitalizing on the latest military trends and innovations. Horn’s hubris and influence are equally threatening and will put him squarely in Reece’s crosshairs.

    Apart from this, Courtney will next be seen in James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ film, reprising the role of Captain Boomerang. His other film roles include ‘Terminator Genisys’, the ‘Divergent’ films, ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’, and ‘Jack Reacher’.

    On the TV side, he most recently appeared in ‘Stateless’ and has had roles in shows like ‘Spartacus’ and ‘Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later’.

    ‘The Terminal List’ is based on the novel of the same name by Jack Carr, with Carr also executive producing. Pratt will star in the series and executive produce it under his Indivisible Pictures banner along with Jon Schumacher, while Antoine Fuqua will direct and executive produce via Fuqua Films.

    As per Variety, David DiGilio will write and executive produce in addition to serving as showrunner. Daniel Shattuck will also write and executive produce. The series is a co-production between Amazon Studios and Civic Center Media in association with MRC Television.

    LOS ANGELES: Actor Patrick Schwarzenegger has joined Hollywood star Chris Pratt in Amazon’s “The Terminal List” series.

    Based on Jack Carr’s bestselling novel of the same name, the conspiracy-thriller show will be directed by Antoine Fuqua of “The Equalizer” and “Training Day” fame.

    The story follows James Reece (Pratt) whose entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission.

    “Reece returns home with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability.

    However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves,” the official plotline of the show read.

    Schwarzenegger, also Pratt’s real-life brother-in-law, joins Constance Wu, Riley Keough, Taylor Kitsch and Jeanne Tripplehorn in the show, reported Deadline.

    He will play Donny Mitchell.

    Fresh out of training, Special Warfare Operator 2nd Class Donny Mitchell is James Reece’s baby-faced youngest team member.

      David DiGilio is adapting the book and also serve as showrunner for the series, which marks Pratt’s return to television after he featured in shows such as “Parks and Recreation” and “Everwood”.

    Pratt and Jon Schumacher will executive produce the show through their Indivisible Productions, alongside Fuqua, DiGilio, Daniel Shattuck and Carr.

    Katie left her desk at a prestigious news outlet to pursue high-impact stories on her own terms.

    Now at a crossroads in her career, Katie finds an unlikely ally in Reece.

    She seeks to re-enter the mainstream by bringing the truth about Reece and the conspiracy he’s fighting against to light.

    The movie will also feature actor Taylor Kitsch in the role of Ben Edwards, a former SEAL and Reece’s best friend.

    David DiGilio is adapting the book for the show, which marks Pratt’s return to television after he featured in shows such as “Parks and Recreation” and “Everwood”.

    DiGilio will also serve as the showrunner.
