    Actor Nathalie Emmanuel, best known for her roles in Game of Thrones and Fast & Furious, joined the cast of The Killer, which will be a re-imagination of John Woo’s 1989 film by the same name. She will be starring alongside Omar Sy.

    The 1989 film features Chow Yun-fat, Danny Lee and Sally Yeh. Chow essayed the role of an assassin who takes his last job in order to get money for the surgery of a singer whom he blinded during a shootout.

    While it is yet to be confirmed if the new project will also follow the same plot or have a fresh one, Woo will return as director and will also back the film. Universal Pictures’ Sara Scott and Jacqueline Garell will be associated with the project as well.

  • Tilda Swinton onboard David Fincher’s next

    It has been announced that Tilda Swinton has joined the cast of David Fincher’s The Killer. The film, which is currently in works at Netflix, stars Michael Fassbender in the lead role.

    The film marks Fincher’s second collaboration with screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker, after the acclaimed 1995 film, Seven.

    The Killer is reportedly an adaptation of Alexis Nolent‘s French graphic novel series by the same name, with Erik Messerschmidt, who shot Fincher’s latest release, Mank, set to serve as cinematographer.

  • Michael Fassbender eyed for David Fincher’s ‘The Killer’

    Director David Fincher is once again collaborating with streaming platform Netflix for his next feature film. The filmmaker, who most recently directed Mank, based on Citizen Kane writer Herman J Mankiewicz for Netflix, will next helm the adaptation of Alexis Nolent’s graphic novel series The Killer.

    Michael FassbenderThe filmmaker has teamed up with screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker with whom he previously worked on his critically-acclaimed 1997 film Seven. Michael Fassbender is in negotiations to take on the lead role in the film. 

    If the deal is closed, he will play an assassin who undergoes a psychological meltdown in a world with morals. Cean Chaffin, Fincher’s longtime associate, will produce the film.
