  • Michael Keaton’s Batman returns in first ‘The Flash’ trailer

    By Express News Service

The first trailer of The Flash was released on Sunday during the Super Bowl. The film is one of the remaining DC films developed before the takeover of James Gunn and Peter Safran as co-heads of DC Studios. They have now begun restructuring the DC Extended Universe.

Starring Ezra Miller, the trailer of The Flash explores the main plot points of his next, and maybe last adventures as the Flash. The trailer shows that Barry Allen uses his super-speed powers to travel back in time to save his mother, who was murdered when he was still a little boy.

Unfortunately, he inadvertently messes with the timeline as time travel is dangerous, and ends up visiting alternate dimensions where he can’t differentiate between friends and enemies. The story is based on the Flashpoint comics.

The Flash also stars Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as different versions of Batman. Directed by Andy Muschietti, the film’s screenplay is penned by Christina Hodson. The film’s cast also includes Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdú, and Ron Livingston. Sasha Calle also shows up as Supergirl. Social media stars Rudy Mancuso and Saoirse-Monica Jackson are also involved in the project in undisclosed roles. The Flash is slated for release on June 16, 2023.

  • Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot cameos cut from ‘The Flash’

    By Express News Service

It is being reported that 2023’s upcoming DC Studios film The Flash will no longer include cameos from Henry Cavill’s Superman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.

Though they had already been filmed, the cameos have been cut from the Ezra Miller-led superhero film just over six months before the movie’s release date. This is another step towards ending the former DC Extended Universe to make way for the new DC Universe being created by DC Studios Co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran.

The news comes shortly after Cavill announced that he will no longer be playing Superman in future projects following conversations with Gunn about the future of DC’s film adaptations — a solid indicator that DC Studios is committed to a large overhaul.

With Jason Momoa potentially leaving Aquaman behind to play Lobo and Patty Jenkins’ version of Wonder Woman 3 no longer moving forward, it seems as though the DC Extended Universe that started with 2013’s Man of Steel is coming to a close.

  • Ezra Miller back on ‘The Flash’ set amid controversies

    By IANS

LOS ANGELS: Actor Ezra Miller is still very much part of ‘The Flash’ movie despite their mounting issues. The actor was reportedly recently back to work on the film set amid their legal controversies.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 29-year-old returned to the set for additional filming earlier this year, reports aceshowbiz.com.

“Miller participated in regularly scheduled additional photography over the summer, apparently without incident,” the site reported.

Miller has been facing several allegations while they are staying low-key. Back in March, the ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ star was arrested in Hawaii for disorderly conduct following an alleged physical altercation with patrons after having hurled obscenities at clients at a karaoke bar.

In April, Miller was taken into custody for second-degree assault by Leilani Estates Subdivision police authorities in Pahoa for allegedly throwing a chair, which hit a 26-year-old woman and left a half-inch cut on her forehead, after being told to leave during a private get-together.

In June, it was reported that Miller was accused of housing a mother and her three young children in their allegedly drug-and-gun-filled Vermont farmhouse.

The parents of 18-year-old activist Tokata Iron Eyes also requested a temporary order of protection against the actor, claiming Miller reportedly used “violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs” to hold sway over their child.

Most recently, Miller was charged with felony burglary in Vermont.

The ‘Justice League’ star was accused of stealing bottles of alcohol from a private property in May and is due to be arraigned on September 26.

Despite Miller’s legal issues, Warner Bros. reportedly still has no intention to shelve the movie or replace the actor.

David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, recently spoke about the movie, “We have seen ‘The Flash’, ‘Black Adam’ and ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’. “We are very excited about them. We’ve seen them. We think they are terrific, and we think we can make them even better.”

  • ‘The Flash’-star Ezra Miller charged with felony burglary in Vermont

    By Associated Press

Actor Ezra Miller has been charged with felony burglary in Stamford, Vermont, the latest in a string of incidents involving the embattled star of “The Flash.”

In a report Monday, Vermont State Police said they responded to a burglary complaint in Stamford on May 1 and found several bottles of alcohol were taken from a residence while the homeowners weren’t present. Miller was charged after police consulted surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses.

The police report said Miller was located shortly before midnight Sunday and was issued a citation to appear for arraignment in Vermont Superior Court on Sept. 26.

The felony charge adds to Miller’s mounting legal woes and reports of erratic behavior. The 29-year-old actor was arrested twice earlier this year in Hawaii, including for disorderly conduct and harassment at a karaoke bar. The second incident was for second-degree assault.

The parents of 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes, a Native American activist, also earlier this year filed a protection order against Miller, accusing the actor of grooming their child and other inappropriate behavior with her as a minor from the age of 12. Tokata Iron Eyes recently told Insider that those allegations were false.

Attorneys for Miller didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment on the Vermont felony charge or the protection order related to Tokata Iron Eyes.

After appearing in several films for Warner Bros. and D.C. Films as the Flash, Miller stars in the upcoming standalone film “The Flash,” due out in June 2023. Though Warner Bros. last week axed the nearly completed “Batgirl” film, the studio has suggested it remains committed to releasing “The Flash.”

In an earnings report last week, David Zaslav, chief executive of Warner Bros. Discovery referenced “The Flash.” “We have seen ‘The Flash,’ ‘Black Adam’ and ’Shazam 2. We are very excited about them,” said Zaslav. “We think they are terrific, and we think we can make them even better.”

Representatives for Warner Bros. didn’t respond to messages Monday.
