Jagital: In a scathing attack on the Congress government, BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday compared Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s governance to a “China phone,” contrasting it with the “iPhone-like governance” of former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).

Addressing the media, Kavitha accused the Congress party of deceiving the Backward Classes (BC) community and manipulating caste population data for political gains. She slammed the government’s failure to engage meaningfully with BC associations despite growing unrest. “The Chief Minister is escaping from meeting BC leaders, which is a grave insult to the community,” she said. MLC K. Kavitha reiterated BRS’s demand for a proper caste-wise census and called for 42 per cent reservations for BCs in local body elections.”The Congress’s so-called OBC caste census is riddled with discrepancies and lacks credibility. If they are truly committed to BC welfare, they must reconduct the survey transparently and introduce a bill in the Assembly. BRS will support it unequivocally,” BRS Leader MLC Kavitha affirmed.

On the issue of agriculture, the former Nizamabad MP slammed the government for failing to release water from the Medigadda Barrage. “Farmers are suffering. Crops are drying up, but this government remains indifferent to their plight,” she said, demanding immediate action to alleviate the crisis.

MLC K Kavitha concluded by expressing confidence in the continued leadership of KCR and the BRS. “KCR 3.0 and BRS 3.0 will rise stronger for the people of Telangana.” MLC Kavitha further said, BRS remains steadfast in its fight for justice for BCs and the welfare of farmers across the state.
