In a bold move towards modern governance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate ‘Seva Tirth’ on Friday, relocating the Prime Minister’s Office to this cutting-edge complex in New Delhi. Bidding farewell to outdated setups, the new address promises smarter, greener, and more collaborative workspaces for India’s top leadership.

PM Modi’s day kicks off with the 1:30 PM unveiling of the Seva Tirth nameplate, followed by the ribbon-cutting for the main building and the adjacent Kartavya Bhawans. The evening features a 6 PM public address, where the PM is expected to outline the vision behind this administrative revolution.

Central to Seva Tirth are the PMO, NSC Secretariat, and Cabinet Secretariat, now under one roof to foster seamless decision-making. Meanwhile, Kartavya Bhawan-1 and -2 will host an array of critical ministries: Finance, Defence, Health, Education, and more, ending years of dispersal across dilapidated Central Vista buildings.

For decades, this scattershot arrangement bred inefficiencies—from coordination hurdles to skyrocketing upkeep costs and uninspiring workspaces. The new setup integrates everything into a cohesive campus, complete with digital offices, citizen-friendly zones, and unified receptions that prioritize collaboration and employee well-being.

Sustainability shines through with GRIHA-certified features like solar power, water recycling, smart waste handling, and energy-efficient designs, slashing carbon footprints and operational expenses. Robust security layers, including biometric access, CCTV grids, and rapid-response systems, safeguard this nerve center of governance.

As ‘Seva Tirth’—the pilgrimage of service—comes alive, it signals India’s leap into tech-driven administration, empowering officials to serve citizens with greater speed and transparency.
