Spanning 49 hectares on land procured for 44.33 crore rupees after legal acquisition under disaster laws, the 299-crore project prioritizes victim rehabilitation. The initial 178 homes are ready, showcasing rapid construction – a prototype completed in 105 days.

Each 1,000 sq ft home is a fortress against floods and quakes, equipped with two bedrooms, bathrooms, living-dining spaces, study, kitchen, work zone, and outdoor sit-out. Full electrification includes robust three-phase systems, energy-efficient fans and lights, and readiness for AC and inverters.

Infrastructure shines with 11.42 km roads, bridges, buried cables, advanced drainage, sewage treatment, water reservoirs holding 100,000 litres, round-the-clock CCTV, and waste handling facilities. Every roof hosts a 2 kW solar setup with net metering, powering a massive solar community.

Looking ahead, the township will integrate public amenities like health and community hubs, childcare centers, shopping areas, entertainment venues, and sports fields. This initiative not only rehomes survivors but redefines post-disaster living with sustainability and community focus, marking a new chapter for Wayanad’s resilient residents.
