  • Principal Secretary Chandrashekhar Gangrade got six months service extension, Speaker approved

    A big decision has been taken even before the monsoon session of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly begins. Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant has approved the proposal for extension of service of Principal Secretary Chandrashekhar Gangrade. Gangarade has been given an extension of six months. This will be his third extension. Under the rules of the assembly, the speaker has the power to give extension of service to the principal secretary or secretary for three years.

    Earlier in January 2021 itself, he was given an extension of six months. In view of his long experience in the conduct of the House, the Speaker has decided to give him an extension once again. Born on 28 June 1958, Chandrashekhar Gangrade became the Principal Secretary of the Legislative Assembly in October 2019. He had his retirement on 30 December 2020, but then for the first time Speaker Dr. Mahant gave him a service extension.

  • Iron ore prices increased by more than 120 percent in six months, but reduced by only 10 percent

Industrialists associated with the rolling mill, steel sector say that NMDC has increased iron ore prices even during the Corona period. Last year, from June 2020 to December 2020, iron ore prices have increased by 120 percent. Iron ore was Rs 3734 per tonne in June 2020, which increased to Rs 8650 per tonne in January 2021.
