  • Angered by the incident of Silger, the entire tribal society will make a great movement from July 19

    An important meeting of Chhattisgarh Sarva Adivasi Samaj was held on Saturday. Discussions were held in the meeting on topics like Silger, PESA law, land acquisition, mining, jobs, reservation and promotion. In the meeting, the society decided to organize a big agitation in all the blocks on 19th July. In the movement to be held in three phases, the first phase will be at the block level, the second phase at the district level and the third phase at the state level.

    Sarva Adivasi Samaj leader and former MP Sohan Potai said in the exclusive conversation that the people of the society are very angry with the policies of the government. The present government is also treating the people of tribal society like the previous government. The work of Gaur mineral is also being given to outsiders. Outsiders are being settled. We want that the camp should not be opened in Silger. Tribals are grinding between the Naxalites and the police. The government should talk to the people of Sarva Adivasi society. If the government does not find a solution soon, then there will be a fierce movement.

  • Delegation of mass organizations met Chief Minister regarding Silger incident

    A delegation of mass organizations met Bhupesh Baghel today at his residence office in connection with the Silger movement. He discussed various topics related to this movement with Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. The Chief Minister told the delegation that a magisterial inquiry is being conducted into the Silger incident. He said that the State Government is ready to meet the development related needs of the people of the area, he appealed to the mass organizations to come forward and cooperate with the State Government in the development work. The delegation made a demand that a delegation of Silger village wants to meet Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. The Chief Minister agreed to his demand.
    The delegation included human rights activist Ms. Bela Bhatia, Chhattisgarh rescue movement’s convener Mr. Alok Shukla, Chhattisgarh Kisan Sabha President Mr. Sanjay Parate and trade union organization Actu General Secretary Mr. Bijendra Tiwari. Adviser to the Chief Minister, Ruchir Garg, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri Subrata Sahu, Special Director General of Police Shri Ashok Juneja were present on the occasion.

  • Bhupesh Baghel formed a committee to investigate Silger incident, team will discuss facts with villagers

    Bhupesh Baghel has constituted a committee of public representatives headed by Bastar MP Deepak Badge in the Silger case. This committee will discuss with the local people and gather facts. Administrative officers will accompany the committee. The public representatives and the local administration team will hear their side from the local villagers regarding the incident of village Silger situated in the border of Sukma and Bijapur districts. This team of public representatives headed by Bastar MP Deepak Badge comprises Bastar MLA and Bastar Development Authority president Lakeshwar Baghel, Keshkal MLA and vice president of Bastar Development Authority Santram Netam, Dantewada MLA Devati Karma, Kanker MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Shishupal Sori, Antagarh MLA Anoop Nag, Bijapur MLA and Vice President of Bastar Development Authority Vikram Mandavi, Chitrakot MLA Rajman Benzam and Narayanpur MLA and Chandan Kashyap, chairman of Chhattisgarh Hand Crafts Development Board. Along with this, representatives of the local administration will also be involved in this team.
