In a vibrant session at the Bihar Legislative Assembly, the ‘Developed India Youth Parliament 2026’ brought together 185 promising youngsters from multiple districts. Held in the iconic Central Hall, the program featured impassioned speeches on policy, skills, and national progress, attended by top dignitaries including Speaker Prem Kumar and Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh.

Prem Kumar praised the participants’ eloquence: ‘These 185 delegates represent Bihar’s brightest minds, sharing bold thoughts on development.’ The atmosphere buzzed with ideas as youth tackled everything from budget analysis to skill gaps.

Shreyasi Singh positioned the parliament as essential for nurturing young leaders. ‘History shows youth spark revolutions; this platform channels that energy into constructive politics,’ she stated. She highlighted Bihar’s pride in its talented youth, urging better avenues for their expression.

Bhagalpur’s Anushka Bhardwaj spotlighted execution flaws in schemes: ‘Awareness campaigns are crucial so benefits reach the ground.’ She advocated skill-building over traditional education, criticizing attendance-focused systems and calling on youth to prioritize self-improvement.

From Banka, Sumit Kumar valued the direct government dialogue: ‘It’s a golden chance to present our policies.’ Begusarai’s Sikha analyzed the 2026 Union Budget, referencing Kalam’s 2020 goal and Modi’s extended timeline to 2047, questioning persistent developmental barriers.

With ministers Sanjay Tiger, MLAs like Manjeet Kumar Singh and Deepa Kumari, and officials present, the event fostered a dialogue that could reshape Bihar’s youth policies. As discussions wrapped, optimism lingered for a youth-led path to Viksit Bharat.

India’s fitness revolution gained momentum with the 65th ‘Fit India Sundays on Cycle’ captivating over 5,000 venues from north to south. Champions, dignitaries, and locals alike mounted their bikes, covering distances from Kokrajhar in Odisha to Badal in Punjab and down to Alleppey in Kerala. More than 300 leaders, including Fit India ambassadors, flagged off the rides with palpable excitement.

Patna witnessed a star turn from Bihar Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh, who not only participated but led the charge, inspiring scores of riders. Joining her was Reema Trisha Holo, a multifaceted athlete—Assam government official, MMA combatant, karate expert, and avid cyclist—who bounced back from injury to reclaim her spot in the saddle.

Delhi stole the show with its mega event at Connaught Place, hosting 10,000-plus fitness devotees. Partnered with Rahgiri Foundation, the occasion resurrected Rahgiri Day amid a carnival-like atmosphere. Participants of all ages—from toddlers to 70-year-olds—kicked off with engaging warm-ups: skipping ropes, grooving to Zumba, striking yoga poses, and indulging in fun games before circling the iconic plaza on two wheels.

Dedicated to consumer rights awareness, the event boasted an impressive lineup of guests. Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood headlined alongside Captain Akshay Chopra, the ex-pilot now fitness icon; Zumba maestro Prateek Kundial; wrestling champs Neelam and Priya Malik from the Under-23 Asian Championships; and SAI official Mayank Srivastava.

Sood hailed these events as game-changers for urban health and safety. Encouraging shifts to pedestrianism, cycling, and mass transit, he highlighted benefits like reduced emissions and safer streets. ‘Clean air demands our shared effort,’ he asserted, imploring attendees to adopt these habits permanently, propelling India toward a sustainable, active future.

The stage is set for one of cricket’s fiercest rivalries: India versus Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup on Sunday. In Bihar, the buildup is nothing short of a festival, with Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh leading the cheer for wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan.

During a media interaction in Jamui, Singh showered praise on the Indian squad. ‘My heartfelt best wishes to Team India,’ she stated. ‘May they showcase their best and come back with glory.’ Her special nod to Kishan – ‘Ek Bihari sab par bhari’ – has become a viral slogan, symbolizing Bihar’s unshakeable faith in their prodigy.

Adding to the jubilation, plans are underway to felicitate Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the Under-19 World Cup champion who has just returned home. ‘Every Bihari feels proud today,’ Singh remarked, confirming talks with Vaibhav’s coach for a grand reception.

Patna’s cricket enthusiasts are vocal about their predictions. Betting big on Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav for runs, and Bumrah and Chakravarthy for wickets, they envision a rout. ‘Expect fireworks from Ishan and company,’ said one fan. ‘India could smash 300, with SKY and Tilak turning form around just in time.’

A particularly audacious prediction came from another: Indian batters dismantling Pakistan’s Usman Tariq with six consecutive sixes. ‘When we hit 300, Pakistan folds,’ he asserted, highlighting trust in Kishan, SKY, and Abhishek.

JD(U)’s Rajiv Ranjan Prasad forecasted a blockbuster match, with millions of Indian fans rooting for a decisive thrashing that cements India’s T20 dominance. Bihar’s passion underscores the national pulse, making this clash more than just a game – it’s a statement of supremacy.
