According to Page Six, Camila Cabello and Kevitch may have been introduced through her ‘Cinderella’ co-star Nicholas Galitzine.

Kevitch is the founder of a premium dating app in the US, ‘Lox Club’. According to the Lox Club website, the app is “A members-only dating club for people with ridiculously high standards”.

Interestingly, Cabello broke up with singer Shawn Mendes just nine months ago. Cabello and Mendes dated for a period of three years.

Mendes and Cabello have been romantically linked since July 2019 and had displayed lots of PDA throughout the relationship. However, the couple revealed in a joint statement that they were breaking up in November 2021. They wrote, “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”

Mendes has been open about his mental health issues since their breakup, sharing that he despises being alone in March. The singer also revealed last month that he would postpone the rest of his tour in order to focus on his mental health.

Mendes, however, appears to be recovering as he was seen partying at LIV nightclub with The Weeknd over the weekend and taking in some beach time in Miami.

  • Shawn Mendes cancels world tour to focus on his mental health

    By Associated Press

UNITED STATES: Shawn Mendes has pulled the plug on the rest of his world tour, cancelling dates in North America and Europe so he can focus on his mental health.

“I was not at all ready for how difficult touring would be after this time away,” the singer-songwriter posted on social media Wednesday.

“After speaking more with my team and working with an incredible group of health professionals, it has become more clear that I need to take the time I’ve never taken personally, to ground myself and come back stronger.”

Mendes has had six top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back,” “If I Can’t Have You” and “Senorita” with his ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello.

Mendes kicked off his world tour in support of his album “Wonder” in June, but earlier this month said he needed to take a three-week break. That break has now stretched into the whole tour.

Mendes said he had been “hopeful that I might be able to pick up with the rest of the dates after some much-needed time off,” but said that “at this time I have to put my health as my first priority.”

The singer-songwriter assured fans he will continue to make music and will tour in the future. “I promise I will be back as soon as I’ve taken the right time to heal,” he wrote.

  • LISTEN| Shawn Mendes drops emotional song ‘It’ll Be Okay’ after split with Camila Cabello

    By ANI

WASHINGTON: On the heels of his breakup from singer Camila Cabello, singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes dropped a slow, heart-rending track. The 23-year-old singer released the emotional breakup ballad titled ‘It’ll Be Okay’ on Wednesday, exactly two weeks after he and Cabello called it quits following two years of dating.

Mendes informed his fans and followers about the song release on his Instagram account, writing, “it’ll be okay out now”.

Mendes’ latest single, which fans are already speculating is about the couple’s recent separation, included lyrics: “Are we gonna make it?/ Is this gonna hurt?” and “I start to imagine a world where we don’t collide/ It’s making me sick but we’ll heal and the sun will rise.”

In the soft, piano-backed melancholic track, Mendes detailed the end of a turbulent relationship as he sings, “the future we dreamed of is fading to black.” He sings going into the chorus, “We don’t have to stay/ I will love you either way / It’ll be OK.”

Mendes first announced the song’s release on Tuesday, teasing lyrics that said, “Are we gonna make it? / Is this gonna hurt?”

On the morning of the song’s release day, the singer shared a photo of a sun illuminating a beach with an orange glow to social media. He wrote, “It feels like I havnt truly connected with you guys in a while. I miss you. I hope you love this song.”

‘It’ll Be Okay’ comes two weeks to the day that Mendes and Cabello announced their breakup with a joint statement shared on social media.

The two shared a joint statement to their respective Instagram Stories on November 17, writing, “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.”

“We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward, Camila and Shawn,” the statement concluded. As per People magazine, the singers were friends for several years before they started dating in July 2019.

Mendes said his most recent single, ‘Summer of Love’, was inspired by the idyllic first few months of lockdown, in which the couple quarantined together in Miami. “It feels good. It was like writing about the first couple of months actually in the lockdown. Camila and I were so lucky because we were able to just kind of be in a still moment, and it was the first time in the past six years that we’ve been just able to relax and not work at all,” he said in an interview with Audacy Check In. “We were going on bike rides around Miami, and it just felt really beautiful,” he added.

Still, a source previously told People magazine that once their schedules picked up again, things just weren’t the same. “They had this intense relationship last year and spent months together during the lockdown in Miami. They both seemed very happy and looked like they enjoyed having a break from working,” the source said.

“Things are different now, though. It’s more back to normal life. They have careers that are taking them in different directions. They went from spending every day together to now not really spending any time together,” the source added.

LOS ANGELES: Singers Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have announced their break-up after dating for over two years, saying they will “continue to be best friends”.

The “Senorita” collaborators informed fans about the split in a joint statement they shared on their respective Instagram Stories on Wednesday evening, November 17, 2021.

“Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for another as humans is stronger than ever,” the statement began.

“We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward. Camila and Shawn,” they added.

The development comes two weeks after the former couple dressed up in matching folklorico outfits in honour of the Day of the Dead on Halloween.

The duo had been first linked in July 2019.

  • Singer Camila Cabello reveals boyfriend Shawn Mendes helps her deal with anxiety

    By ANI

WASHINGTON: Singer-songwriter Camila Cabello credited her boyfriend and singer Shawn Mendes with helping ease her anxiety issues.

As per People magazine, the ‘Havana’ singer appeared on the October cover of Glamour and revealed that she and her boyfriend of two years have developed a serious sense of trust in one another thanks to their commitment to honesty.

“For better, for worse, we’re very transparent with each other. I think that’s why we can trust each other so much because it’s a very 3D human relationship,” she said.

Cabello, who said that both she and Mendes have reaped the benefits of therapy, explained that Mendes’ support has also been helpful in allowing her to work through her various anxieties, including something she calls “zombie-eating,” which she does when she’s “anxious or uncomfortable.”

“I’ll be venting or ranting about something, and he’ll be like, ‘Have you talked to X about it?’ And I’ll be like, ‘No. I’ve got to do a session.’ And he’ll do the same thing to me,” she told Glamour.

“I think even just the language of being like, ‘Hey, I’m sorry that I’ve been distant with you or snappy with you. I’m just struggling and I’m feeling kind of anxious.’ That level of transparency really helps a lot,” Cabello added.

Mendes told the magazine that he appreciates the “extreme amount of patience and understanding,” the couple offer each other.

“I think the truth is that when you’re struggling with mental health, it turns you sometimes into the version of yourself that you don’t like to be — and kind of loving and accepting your person through that, and being there for them through that, is life-changing,” he said.

The much-in-love couple confirmed their relationship in September 2019.

Cabello, who will release her third studio album ‘Familia’ later this year, previously emphasised her commitment to mental health by launching the Healing Justice Project in partnership with the nonprofit Movement Voter Fund to provide grants to 10 BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and youth-led organisations to cover six months’ worth of mental health support for their workers.

  • Camila Cabello pens sweet birthday wish for beau Shawn Mendes

    By ANI

WASHINGTON: Singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes rang in his 23rd birthday over the weekend with his girlfriend Camila Cabello and friends.

Mendes received a sweet birthday wish on Sunday from Cabello, who posted a photo of herself kissing him on the cheek. “Feliz cumpleanos mi amor,” she wrote in the caption.

She added, “Thankful for your existence everyday.”

Mendes shared a post of his own with a video from the previous night’s festivities, which took place at Little Sister Lounge in the East Village neighbourhood of New York City.

“Some real bday Love !!! Thank you so much,” Mendes wrote in the caption, before teasing his new single. “Feeling extremely grateful for all of the people in my life today! also SUMMER OF LOVE NEXT WEEEEEK.”

The artist appeared to have a blast at his birthday party, as the video showed a friend lifting Mendes above his head on the dance floor. Waitresses brought out a cake garnished with lit sparklers and a big marquee sign that read “Happy bday Shawn.”

He and his friends previously took turns recording a TikTok video in the bathroom, as they each predicted who would get the most drunk by the end of the night. He and Cabello both picked their friend, Brian, as did most of their squad.

Mendes also posed on a balcony with the Manhattan skyline in the background in photos posted on Sunday, his official birthday. “23,” he wrote in the caption, as friends and followers flooded the comments. “Lionsgate bday let’s gooo,” Lizzo wrote.

Mendes recently returned from a trip with Cabello to Mallorca, Spain, where he teased ‘Summer of Love’ during a gorgeous hillside drive in a convertible, reported People magazine.

He strategically placed a hat printed with the song’s title on the dashboard, after sporting a hoodie with the same print, while strumming a guitar on the beach at sunset.

Mendes’ next single ‘Summer of Love’ is expected to drop at the end of the coming week.

  • BTS, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish hope to raise billions for Global Citizen fundraiser

    By Associated Press
NEW YORK: The Weeknd, BTS and Billie Eilish will take part in Global Citizen Live, a 24-hour event on Sept. 25 that’s intended to raise money and awareness to fight worldwide threats including COVID-19, climate change and extreme poverty.

Hugh Evans, CEO of Global Citizen, is hoping the event, timed to the United Nations General Assembly, will encourage governments, corporations and philanthropists to fund a billion COVID-19 vaccine doses by September, especially in Africa. The international advocacy group also hopes to raise $6 billion for famine relief efforts for the 41 million people worldwide who are estimated to be on the brink of starvation, as well as enough money to plant a billion trees to help counter climate change.

For anyone who questions whether these institutions will manage to generate more money to donate, Evans points to the current space race.

“As billionaires are leaping into space, we need to remind people that we’ve really only got one planet and we need to make sure that we that we actually care for it and for those who are on it,” Evans told the Associated Press.

“This is something the ultra-high-net-worth community can solve the world’s problems right now. We’re literally talking about an investment which sounds big in comparison — $6 billion to address the famine relief efforts across Africa. Honestly, Jeff Bezos could write that check tomorrow and it would be a percentage point in his total net worth. I’m all for people daring to dream, and may they dream even bigger, but let’s also dream about a world where the absolutely stupid social ills that currently still exist in the world are addressed by those who have the means to do so.”

Global Citizen Live — which will run the gamut from pop stars H.E.R., Lizzo, Lorde and Ed Sheeran to rockers Coldplay, Green Day, and Metallica and international artists from Andrea Bocelli and Lang Lang to Angelique Kidjo and Femi Kuti — will take place on six continents. Live events are planned for Central Park in New York City, the Champ de Mars in Paris, as well as venues in London and Los Angeles. Performances and hosted segments will come from Sydney; Rio de Janeiro; Seoul, South Korea; and Lagos, Nigeria.

Like nearly all of the group’s events, Global Citizen Live will encourage millions of fans urge their governments or individual corporations to donate or take actions to advance the group’s goal of ending extreme poverty by 2030. Evans said that goal has suffered setbacks because of COVID-19 and the economic stagnation that resulted from it, forcing 150 million people back into extreme poverty.

“It is very important to me to be a part of this historic event to spread awareness and encourage action toward helping the people of Ethiopia during this devastating humanitarian crisis they are faced with,” The Weeknd said in a statement. “It’ll be an honor to perform and help bring support to these citizens who are suffering so severely.”

Also set to participate are Adam Lambert, Burna Boy, Camila Cabello, Christine and the Queens, Davido, Demi Lovato, DJ Snake, Doja Cat, Duran Duran, Hugh Jackman & Deborra-lee Furness, Keith Urban, Shawn Mendes, The Lumineers, Tiwa Savage and Usher. Ticketing details and performances for the individual cities, as well as additional artists, will be announced in August.

“The artist community is very selective about what they all rally around, and the sense that I’ve had is that there is this amazing appetite to be part of it,” Evans said.

The event has support from leaders around the world, including French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi.

Evans said education issues will also be in the spotlight at the event, which hopes to get 4.5 million kids back to school learning by raising $400 million. Only one in three children globally can access remote learning. And the number of children who have had their educations interrupted has grown by 50% since 2020.

“I always say that people care either about planetary concern or about social issues,” Evans said. “For September, we’re targeting both.”

It’s an ambitious agenda. Evans said he is hopeful because of Global Citizen’s previous successes this year.In May, the organization sponsored VAX Live, which generated more than 26 million COVID-19 vaccine doses and $302 million for the Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator initiative, which includes the World Health Organization’s COVAX program for more equitable distribution of vaccines. The event, which included appearances by President Joe Biden as well as the Duke of Sussex, helped raise the issue of vaccine sharing globally.

“I believe that VAX Live changed the dialogue and tangibly resulted in vaccines that will be shared,” Evans said. “Yes, $302 million is still a small amount of money compared to what we need to achieve. Our ambitions are much bigger for September. And that’s why we’re uniting the whole world for this.”
