    Sigourney Weaver has joined Miles Teller and Anya Taylor Joy to star in Apple Original Films and Skydance’s The Gorge. The film is directed by Scott Derrickson, from a script written by Zach Dean. Miles Teller is also executive producing The Gorge, along with starring. 

    While the film is said to be a high-action, genre-bending love story, the plot details of The Gorge are still kept under wraps. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger from Skydance are producing alongside Derrickson, C Robert Cargill, Sherryl Clark, Dean, Adam Kolbrenner and Greg Goodman.

    Anya Talor-Joy is set to star opposite Miles Teller of Top Gun: Maverick fame in the upcoming action film The Gorge. Though specific plot details about the film remain a secret, it is clear that it will be an action-packed love story. 

    Scott Derrickson, who has previously directed films such as Sinister, Doctor Strange, and The Black Phone, is attached to helm the project with its script written by Zach Dean. Apart from directing, Derrickson will also serve as a producer for the project under Crooked Highway alongside C. Robert Cargill and Sherryl Clark. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger of Skydance will also produce the film with Zach Dean, Adam Kolbrenner, and Greg Goodman.

    Taylor-Joy, who has previously starred in films such as The Witch and Split, has also found success in television with the success of Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit. This year, she starred in the critically acclaimed Viking epic The Northman and Amsterdam, now playing in theatres. 

    She is also attached to several upcoming films, such as The Menu, and the Mad Max spinoff, Furiosa.

  • Scott Derrickson and Timo Tjahjanto to team up for a new flick

    Filmmaker Scott Derrickson, known for directing films like Doctor Strange, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and Sinister, will be teaming up with Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto for his next.

    Derrickson took to Twitter to share a picture of the front page of his new project’s script, revealing that Tjahjanto will be serving as one of the writers on it. Derrickson’s frequent collaborator, C Robert Cargill, will also be a co-writer on this project.

    Responding to Derrickson’s tweet, “Honored to be writing together along with the masters of the craft, and yeah, it’s a crazy one.”

    Details related to the project are currently under wraps. Tjahjanto’s credits include horror flicks like May the Devil Take You and The Night Comes for Us. He is also attached to direct the upcoming English remake of the hit Korean zombie thriller, Train of Busan.

    Meanwhile, Derrickson was initially set to direct Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness but opted out of the project citing creative differences. He remains attached to the project as an executive producer.
