The event featured Pintu Dubey, a seasoned photojournalist from i-Next newspaper in Ranchi, who shared valuable expertise with students. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students from the department actively participated, eager to learn. The workshop delved into the technical intricacies and artistic dimensions of photography, addressing student queries comprehensively. A hands-on practical session was also conducted on campus, providing students with direct training and guidance. SBU&#8217;s Journalism department regularly organizes such sessions to equip students with practical insights into various journalism fields. <p>Sarla Birla University&#8217;s Mental Health Club recently organized an insightful interactive counseling session on &#8220;Stress Management and Emotional Wellbeing.&#8221; Held in the university auditorium, the event aimed to foster greater awareness of mental health issues among students and provide guidance on maintaining emotional balance in life.</p>



<p>The primary speaker, Ms. Tanushree Sengupta, a senior counselor from Army Public School, Ranchi, shared her extensive experience. She enlightened students on various facets of mental health, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence. Ms. Sengupta offered practical advice on adopting a problem-solving approach to life&#8217;s challenges, building self-esteem, fostering emotional security, enhancing self-awareness, understanding societal dynamics, self-management, and relationship management.</p>



<p>The session was made engaging through inspiring videos and interactive activities, ensuring a dynamic learning experience. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Neelima Pathak, Dean of the Faculty of Yogic Sciences &amp; Naturopathy and President of the Mental Health Club. She extended &#8220;World Students Day&#8221; wishes and emphasized the university&#8217;s commitment to the holistic development of its students.</p>



<p>The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Priyanka Pandey, the club&#8217;s coordinator, who expressed gratitude to Ms. Sengupta for delivering such an impactful session at Sarla Birla University. Other faculty members, including Dr. Nandini Sinha (Treasurer) and Ms. Anjana Kumari Singh and Ms. Neha Nupur, were present. University officials, including Pro-Chancellor Bijoy Kumar Dalan, Director General Prof. Gopal Pathak, Vice-Chancellor Prof. C. Jagannathan, and Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Pradeep Kumar Verma, conveyed their appreciation for the event&#8217;s organization.</p>

The multi-day event, filled with joy and camaraderie, saw senior students warmly welcoming their juniors. Dressed in colorful attire, students showcased a variety of engaging performances. The festivities featured a lively mix of traditional and modern music, energetic dance routines, and a dazzling fashion show, with students fully embracing the spirit of fun and celebration. The event also culminated in the selection of Mr. and Ms. Fresher from various departments.</p>



<p>Professor Gopal Pathak, Director General of SBU, extended his best wishes to the students, emphasizing that discipline is the foundational step towards success in life. He urged students to embrace discipline as they pursue their goals.</p>
