  • Gujarat polls | Congress left no stone unturned to insult Sardar Patel: Amit Shah

    By PTI

KHAMBHAT: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday alleged that the Congress did everything possible to “insult” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and it has started praising him only now in view of the Gujarat Assembly elections.

Even the last rites of the country’s first deputy prime minister were performed in an “unceremonious” way, the BJP leader said at an election rally at Khambhat in Gujarat’s Anand district.

“I am surprised that the Congress now praises Sardar Patel. Since my childhood, I have never heard any Congress leader talking about Patel. Instead, they left no stone unturned to insult Patel, right from performing his last rites in an unceremonious manner to ensuring that no monument was built in his memory,” Shah said.

Voting for Khambhat and 92 other seats will take place on December 5, in the second phase of the Assembly elections.

Shah further said that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who paid a real tribute to Patel by constructing the Statue of Unity, Patel’s statue which is the world’s tallest monument.

He also dared Congress candidate from Khambhat, Chirag Patel to produce any photograph where he is seen paying tributes to Sardar Patel at the Statue of Unity.

“No Congress leader dares to visit the Statue of Unity at Kevadia for fear of losing ticket,” he claimed.

He also accused the Congress of opposing the construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya and the Triple Talaq prohibition law for its vote-bank politics.

“If they support such causes, they fear they will lose those votes. I hope you understand which votes I am talking about. But their time is now over and PM Modi’s time has started. Rahul Baba (Gandhi), book a ticket to Ayodhya because a grand temple is going to be inaugurated on January 1, 2024,” said Shah.ALSO READ | Bhupendra is `puppet CM’, can not even change his peon: Kejriwal

    By PTI

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Sunday paid tributes to India’s first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary, with former party chief Rahul Gandhi saying that at a time when all the pillars of democracy are being “weakened”, it is important to remember his contribution.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also paid tributes to Patel by remembering his contribution to the cause of farmers, saying his struggle “inspires us to stand like a rock in the fight for justice against the oppression of the farmers”.

“Today, when all the pillars of our democracy are being weakened, we have to remember the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He was also an important voice among the Congress leaders who built these pillars,” Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet in Hindi.

Protecting democracy is the real tribute to Sardar Patel, he said.

Priyanka Gandhi said, “Iron Man” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel raised the voice of farmers’ rights and self-respect in the Bardoli Satyagraha.

“His (Patel’s) struggle inspires us to stand like a rock in the fight for justice against the oppression of the farmers and for their rights,” she said.

The Congress, from its official Twitter handle, said, “In this fight to keep India united; In this fight to ensure love triumphs over hate; In this fight to protect our farmers, our people, our nation; we remember Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, today & everyday.”

The Centre observes October 31 as a day to foster and reinforce the government’s dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and security of the nation by celebrating it as the “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” or “National Unity Day” to commemorate Patel’s birth anniversary.

Must take tough decisions, India should not combine alliance government: Doval

Addressing a program, NSA Ajit Doval said: If India is to become the world’s largest force, then there will be a stable, strong and decisive government for the next 10 years. Needs’ difficult decisions can give little relief to the people of the country for some time. But later these decisions prove milestone. ”
It is a folk song that the name of compulsion is Mahatma Gandhi. From the point of view of Doval, from my view, it can be understood that coalition governments mean the name of compulsion Mahatma Gandhi
Talking on the Kashmir issue, Ajit Doval, one of the five main comments he has made in his verdict, said: Jawaharlal Nehru did not consider Sardar Patel’s case on this matter.
In this editorial, I will try to present some historical facts by moving forward this comment.
History has been witnessed that Nehru’s love for Gandhiji forced Iron Man Vallabh Bhai Patel and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose etc. to become a scapegoat. The name of this compulsion had to be paid to the country after the very high price of Mahatma Gandhi.

The last date for filing nomination for the post of Congress was 29 April 1946 or say that the last date for the candidature of becoming India’s future Prime Minister was on 29 April 1946. This nomination was to be done by the regional units of Congress of 15 states.
Surprisingly, even though Gandhi (Rudddhuddhuddhuddh Traddh Sudhardt) opened the name of Nehru in so openly, the Congress Committee of one state did not support Nehru’s name. Rather, 12 out of 15 states have been named Sardar Patel (Stadrddhamk Kadddahlgadhyay) for the post of Congress President. The rest of the three states did not come forward with any name. It is clear that Sardar Patel had undisputed support, which was enough to make him the president of the Congress.
History is a testimony that the name of compulsion was due to Mahatma Gandhi, Patel and Kripalani had to withdraw their names before Nehru in front of Nehru.
But the question arises that why, despite Gandhi’s tremendous popularity, did Gandhi choose Nehru as the Congress president? After all, what was it like in Nehru that he supported Nehru’s name even after the voice of opposition?
Even when Rajendra Prasad heard of the withdrawal of Sardar Patel’s nomination for Nehru, he came out of his mouth that once again Gandhi sacrificed his confidante (Nehru) for his confidante (Sardar Patel) Given
This compulsion is named for Mahatma Gandhi, now also for Congress and opposition parties that the compulsion is Rahul Gandhi. This is the reason why the opposition is in the affair of Bhanumati in the turn of the General Assembly 99.
Right now for 2-3 decades, alliance governments in India, ie alliance-ruled governments are running. Now the Modi government is the NDA government and for the past ten years it has also been UPA governments and UPA 2 Alliance governments.
It is clear that in the manner in which the NDA government is involved, how can the Shiv Sena or the JDU be blackmailed? The same is also the UPA coalition.
Therefore, Ajit Doval says to mean that the name of compulsion is Mahatma Gandhi, that is, the compulsion should not be named Rahul Gandhi. India needs to be a major force in the world, then for the next 10 years, there will be a stable, strong and decisive government.

  • PM’s unveiling Patel’s statue will be BJP’s 2019 campaign launch

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is virtually kicking off its campaign for the 2019 general elections by taking out ‘Ekta Yatras’ across Gujarat in the run up to the unveiling of the 182-foot statue of Sardar Patel by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31.

The Prime Minister will unveil the tallest statue in the world, Statue of Unity, on the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel at Sadhu Bet, near Narmada Dam.

The almost Rs 3,000 crore statue is being projected by the BJP as a symbol of unity and as a message that the Congress underplayed the contribution of Sardar Patel towards the country in favour of the Nehru-Gandhi family.

As a precursor to the unveiling event, the Bharatiya Janata Party is taking out ‘Ekta Yatras’ across Gujarat from October 19 to 29. The yatras will carry a prototype of the Statue of Unity all through the length and breadth of the state.

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will flag off one such Yatra from the historical Bardoli town in South Gujarat where Sardar Patel launched his Bardoli Satyagraha.

Similarly, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel will flag off another Yatra from Karamsad, the hometown of Sardar Patel.

Likewise, many Ministers of the government will flag off other modules of the Yatra from different regions of the state. All these modules will tour around 5,000 villages of Gujarat through the 26 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state before the big event.

The ruling party also plans to hold get-together events at district levels during this period. The party also plans to expand its reach to the public where district-level expansion officers will be appointed full time within six months.

“Through the Ekta Yatra, we will be reaching out to the villages and showcase the development we have carried out at the state and central level,” says state BJP President Jitu Vaghani.

He added: “After independence, it is for the first time that the central government has announced minimum support prices (MSP) of 1.5 fold of the production cost of farm produce like paddy, maize and millet.

“The BJP is working for the development of the farmers and farming and we are receiving overwhelming response from them,” Vaghani claimed. Even after the big event, the BJP government is gearing up for visits by state delegations to the tallest statue and the Narmada dam.

Right now, Gujarat Ministers are inviting Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, Governors and other dignitaries, including the President and Vice President, to the statue site. The BJP ruled state delegations are expected to visit the statue during the entire November month, one by one.

“This is done so for the sake of convenience. We cannot accommodate and entertain them all of them at a single go. So the visits from them will be one after other,” Nitin Patel told reporters.
