At a bustling Hindu conclave in Mumbai, former NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede delivered a stirring call to arms against drug proliferation. In an IANS interview, he stressed that true victory over narcotics hinges on complete legal implementation and grassroots awareness campaigns. ‘This program is exemplary in rallying society for de-addiction,’ he noted.

Appealing directly to spiritual leaders, Wankhede invoked Hindu and Buddhist scriptures to foster anti-drug messaging. ‘With everyone on board, we can eradicate this threat,’ he said optimistically. Reflecting on his NCB days, he decried suppliers preying on children, advocating harsh penalties to safeguard the future.

India’s expansive Hindu community, he argued, holds the power to suffocate drug networks through vigilance. This renewed activism follows a pivotal Bombay High Court session quashing FIRs against him in the high-profile Cordelia cruise scandal. Wankhede rejected all accusations of extorting Shah Rukh Khan, with counsel Abad Ponda underscoring the lack of concrete proof in the CBI probe.

The bench, led by Chief Justice Chandrashkhar and Justice Suman Shyam, heard concise arguments affirming Wankhede’s innocence. As he steps back into public advocacy, Wankhede’s blueprint—unyielding law and enlightened masses—offers hope amid rising drug concerns, positioning cultural unity as the ultimate weapon.

The Delhi High Court has refused to entertain IRS officer Sameer Wankhede’s lawsuit targeting the controversial web series ‘The Bad Boys of Bollywood’ produced by Shahrukh Khan’s banner and streamed on Netflix. In a swift order, Justice Purushendra Kaurav directed the plaint to be returned to the filer for presentation before the competent court.

Central to Wankhede’s grievance is the series’ alleged malicious portrayal of his tenure as NCB zonal director, which he says not only humiliated him personally but also maligned his family and the agency’s credibility. The former Mumbai top cop accused the makers of injecting biased, derogatory content that undermines faith in government institutions.

Among the reliefs demanded were a blanket ban on the series, removal of offending content from digital platforms, and Rs 2 crore in damages earmarked for cancer care at Tata Memorial Hospital. The petition named heavyweights like Red Chillies Entertainment, Netflix, social media giants, and search engines as defendants.

A contentious clip cited involves a character invoking the patriotic slogan ‘Satyamev Jayate’ before making a vulgar gesture, branded by Wankhede as a criminal affront to national symbols under Indian law. With his Aryan Khan-related cases still sub-judice in other courts, this setback forces Wankhede to restart the process in a lower court.

The court’s verdict, delivered after detailed submissions, highlights procedural rigor in entertainment defamation battles. As the case moves to its rightful venue, it reignites debates on creative freedoms versus personal honor in India’s booming OTT space.

Actor Rajat Bedi has shared his thoughts on the defamation case filed by former NCB official Sameer Wankhede concerning the Netflix series ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood.’ The series, which features Bedi, centers around Aryan Khan’s directorial debut. Wankhede, who was involved in the Aryan Khan drug bust case, has sued Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment, alleging the show unfairly tarnishes the reputation of anti-drug enforcement agencies and himself.

Bedi, speaking to ANI, offered a measured perspective, stating, “Sameer ji represents the government, and Aryan is our kid. The government is doing its job, but at the same time, Aryan is a kid, and he’s just growing up. Whatever happened, he’s gone through a tough phase.” He expressed that while he couldn’t comment extensively, he believed Aryan Khan had endured significant hardship.

“I think somewhere, he has gone through a little bit of hard things… and I think it shouldn’t have happened that way, but that’s about it. I don’t want to have any more comments on it,” Bedi added. His remarks come after Wankhede filed a civil defamation suit in the Delhi High Court, seeking damages and an injunction against the production house and the streaming giant. Wankhede claims the series promotes a misleading and negative narrative about drug enforcement, undermining public trust, and specifically targets him during ongoing legal proceedings.

Actor Rajat Bedi has weighed in on the defamation case filed by former NCB official Sameer Wankhede against Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment concerning the series ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood.’ The show, which features Bedi, is reportedly based on Aryan Khan’s directorial debut. Bedi expressed empathy for Aryan Khan, referring to him as ‘our kid’ and acknowledging the difficult period he has endured. While respecting Wankhede’s role as a government representative, Bedi stated that the government is performing its duties. He suggested that Aryan Khan’s experiences were challenging and perhaps not handled ideally, but refrained from further comment due to the ongoing legal proceedings. The case stems from Wankhede’s assertion that the series falsely and maliciously portrays anti-drug enforcement agencies, potentially undermining public trust. Wankhede claims the show was designed to tarnish his reputation during ongoing legal matters involving him and Aryan Khan.

A particular actor in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood,’ is rapidly gaining attention due to his striking resemblance to former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede. The Netflix series, which offers a satirical look at the film industry, has faced significant controversy since its launch. One scene, featuring a police officer, has particularly resonated with audiences who believe the character is a direct parody of Wankhede. This controversy has even led to legal action, with Wankhede filing a defamation suit against Shah Rukh Khan, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Netflix, prompting the Delhi High Court to issue notices. Amidst this ongoing discussion, the actor portraying the NCG officer has become a viral sensation online. Ashish Kumar, the actor in question, has seen a surge in his Instagram following since creating his account in late September. He shared a clip from the series, quoting his character’s line, ‘I am part of war against drugs.’ When fans lauded his performance, Kumar humbly responded, ‘I just did my job.’ While the series creators haven’t explicitly confirmed the character’s inspiration, viewers have readily drawn parallels. The viral scene shows an officer, whose appearance and mannerisms echo Wankhede’s, arriving to conduct a party raid. The character’s use of the phrase ‘Satyamev Jayate,’ previously uttered by Wankhede during controversies, and lines like ‘Drugs have ruined this country’ and ‘I’m a wall against drugs,’ are widely interpreted by netizens as direct jabs at the former NCB officer.

A particular actor is capturing significant attention following the release of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’. The web series, which offers a candid glimpse into the film industry on Netflix, has sparked considerable debate. One character, in particular, has resonated with viewers, drawing parallels to former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede.

Fans are widely commenting on the actor’s uncanny resemblance to Wankhede, leading to a surge in his online recognition. The actor portraying the Narcotics Control Cell (NCC) officer, Ashish Kumar, has seen a notable increase in his social media following since the series premiered. He recently shared a clip from the show on his Instagram, quoting his character’s line, ‘I am part of war against drugs.’

While the series doesn’t explicitly confirm the character’s inspiration, the visual similarities and dialogue have led audiences to draw their own conclusions. The scene in question features an officer with a distinctive hairstyle and demeanor, who arrives to conduct a raid. His pronouncements, including ‘Satyamev Jayate,’ have been interpreted by netizens as a direct nod to Wankhede’s public statements during his controversies. Lines such as ‘Drugs have ruined this country’ and ‘I’m a wall against drugs’ further fueled these perceptions, suggesting a satirical take on Wankhede’s approach.

The central government has canceled the license of Sonam Wangchuk’s NGO. This action was taken by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) following the Leh violence. The MHA’s investigation found that Sonam Wangchuk’s organization SECMOL provided incorrect information about foreign donations and violated FCRA regulations. Students had protested in support of Wangchuk demanding full statehood for Ladakh. During the protest, violence erupted, leading to four deaths. In other news, the Indian Air Force’s first supersonic fighter aircraft, the MiG-21, is set to retire. The farewell ceremony will be held in Chandigarh. The MiG-21 was first inducted into the Air Force in August 1962 and played a crucial role in several wars. Due to its features and shortcomings, the MiG-21 earned two names: ‘Tiger of the Sky’ and ‘Flying Coffin.’ Separately, IRS officer Sameer Wankhede has filed a defamation suit against Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s company, Red Chillies Entertainment, in the Delhi High Court. The case is related to a web series about Shah Rukh’s son, Aryan Khan, where a character similar to Sameer is portrayed. Sameer believes the series is damaging his image. In sports, for the first time in Asia Cup history, India and Pakistan will play in the final. Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 11 runs to secure a place in the final.

Aryan Khan has entered Bollywood with his Netflix series, ‘The Bads of Bollywood.’ The series, created and directed by Shah Rukh Khan’s son, has generated buzz, particularly concerning potential references…

Aryan Khan has entered Bollywood with his Netflix series, ‘The Bads of Bollywood.’ The series, created and directed by Shah Rukh Khan’s son, has generated buzz, particularly concerning potential references to his past controversy. Aryan was previously embroiled in a drug case, which resulted in his arrest, but he was later cleared of all charges. The series is rumored to include a humorous nod to the situation, sparking reactions from viewers.

‘The Bads of Bollywood’ allegedly includes a reference to Sameer Wankhede, the former Narcotics Control Bureau officer involved in Aryan’s arrest. The series has garnered attention for this, with many viewers sharing their reactions to the reference online.

The cast of the series features Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Vijayant Kohli, along with guest appearances by Rajat Bedi, Gautami Kapoor, and in cameo roles, Rajkummar Rao, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, Aamir Khan, SS Rajamouli, Karan Johar, Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh, and possibly other Bollywood stars.

The plot of ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ centers around Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya), a new Bollywood superstar. Bobby Deol will portray a prominent figure in Hindi cinema, and Aasmaan’s character will be involved romantically with his daughter. The story explores Aasmaan’s journey in the film industry, particularly as he navigates challenges and opposition.

In a statement regarding his debut, Aryan Khan expressed his vision for the series, stating, “With The Ba***ds of Bollywood, I wanted to build a world that feels alive, a mix of glitz and grit, where ambition shines, egos clash, and nothing is ever as it seems. In Netflix, we found a partner who shared our creative vision—helping us tell the story exactly how it needed to be told, raw, stylised, and something the world has never experienced before.”

‘The Bads of Bollywood’ is produced by Gauri Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, with Bonnie Jain and Akshat Verma as executive producers. Aryan Khan co-created and directed the series alongside Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, who also collaborated on the script.
