Madhu Chaudhary, a beneficiary in the dedication of development works and Bhoomi-Poojan program in Surguja district, told Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel that he has decided to plant trees in 5 acres this year. Madhu Choudhary said that earlier there was hesitation in the mind about strict rules for felling of trees on private land, which has now gone away with the relaxation of the rules. He said that after starting the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme, he has now decided to plant Papaya, Mehndi etc. For this, they are getting constant guidance from the Forest Department. The Chief Minister told them that Surguja is a very beautiful district, which needs to be kept green. People should be encouraged more and more for tree plantation.
The Chief Minister told them that no permission would be required from any department in future for felling of trees being planted on private land. Only information will need to be given. Shri Ramsunder Rajwade of Surguja told the Chief Minister that he has sold 188 quintals of paddy this year. He has received the first installment of Rs 30 thousand 690 under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Shri Ramsundar Rajwade informed that he has decided to plant sandalwood and mango trees in his field this year.

The Chhattisgarh government relaxed the rule of ten percent posts for compassionate appointment.
The Government of Chhattisgarh has relaxed the rule of ten percent provision for compassionate appointment. The government has given relaxation in the limit of ten percent posts till 31 May 2021 for resolving the pending cases of compassionate appointment on the third category of direct recruitment.
In the Cabinet meeting held on May 18 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, it was decided to give relaxation in the limit of posts for compassionate appointment. In compliance to this, the General Administration Department of the State Government has today issued circulars to all the departments of the Government, the President of Chhattisgarh Revenue Board, Bilaspur, all the Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners and Collectors.
In a circular issued to all the concerned officials, the state government has said that in the year 2013, revised instructions have been issued by the General Administration Department in relation to giving compassionate appointment to the dependent member of his family in the event of premature death of government servants during his service. In the circular issued at that time, it has been directed that compassionate appointment will not be more than ten percent of the total posts sanctioned in the cadre on the third class post of direct recruitment.
In the circular issued today by the General Administration Department, it has been said that presently it has come to the notice of the government that due to the limitation of ten percent posts for compassionate appointment on the posts of direct recruitment of class III, in some departments and their subordinate offices Due to non-availability of vacant posts for compassionate appointment, cases of compassionate appointment are pending. With a view to resolving the pending cases of compassionate appointment, the state government has relaxed the limit of ten percent of the posts previously provisioned till May 31, 2021.
