  • Road Safety World Series Cricket Tournament in Nava Raipur from March 5: Bhupesh Baghel to inaugurate

    To increase public awareness about the importance of road safety, Road Safety World Series Cricket Tournament is being organized from March 5 to 21 at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur. There will be a total of 15 matches during this period. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate this tournament. Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar reviewed the preparations in the meeting of the Executive Committee in the committee room located in the assembly premises today. Transport Minister Mr. Akbar directed to ensure all necessary preparations including entrance gate, barricet, parking, water, sector wise group assessment, electrical connection, flood light, generator, air condition before March 5.
    Secretary Transport Dr. Kamalpreet Singh informed about the preparations being made for the tournament. He informed that the Corona Guidelines issued by the Government of India will be fully followed in the tournament event. Under this, national and international cricket players will be screened at the airport. Good arrangements are being made for buses and their stay to bring players. A temporary mobile tower will also be installed for communication during the cricket tournament. It was informed at the meeting that the price of tickets in tournaments has been kept in different categories from 500 to 10 thousand rupees. Of these, the general tickets have been fixed at Rs 500, 700, 1100 and 1500 and Golden 6000, Platinum and Silver 8000 and Box 10 thousand.
    Additional Transport Commissioner Mr. Dipanshu Kabra, Director Sports Shweta Sinha, Collector Dr. S. Bharthidasan, Inspector General of Police, Raipur Range Dr. Anand Chhabra, Inspector General of Police, Durg Range, Mr. Viveka Mahanand, Commissioner NRDA, Mr. Ayyaz Tamboli, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Ajay Yadav, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mr. Saurabh Kumar, Chief Engineer Public Works Mr. Dnyaneshwar Kashyap along with Power Distribution Company, Health Department officials and representatives of Cricket League Management Group Mumbai were present.

  • Road Safety World Series cricket tournament preparations fast, collector and SSP took meeting of officials

    There will be a Road Safety World Series cricket tournament from March 2 to March 21 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan International Cricket Stadium Parasada to raise awareness about the importance of road safety. International players like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Jonty Rhodes, Brian Lara will be included in the tournament. Preparations for the tournament are in progress. Collector Dr. S. Bhartidasan and Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Yadav took a meeting of officials of various departments of the district regarding the tournament. Officials of the Professional Management Group, Mumbai also attended the meeting. He discussed the major points of the tournament and the arrangements being made. The Collector has given instructions to the officials at various important points for successful organizing. He has asked to discharge his duties with full coordination, so that the players, visitors and spectators return with pleasant memories of the event. He has given instructions to decide the arrangements following the instructions of Kovid-19. Officials of the Professional Management Group Mumbai reported that only fifty percent of the stadium seats would be used.

    Teams from many countries will participate in the tournament. The final match will take place on 21 March. The stadium will be sanitized daily. Arrangements have been made for players and umpires etc. to stay at Mayfair Hotel and Lake Resort. The district administration has declared it as a bio bubble zone. Arrangement of electrical and generator in stadium, daging room, VIP zone, parking, CCTV camera, drone camera, thermal screening in various gates, ticket checking and police checking etc., LED board installation, route management, police control room, Issues like barricating ambulance, doctor, medical staff, fire brigade, bio toilet, water purifier, water tanker etc. were discussed. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Saurabh Kumar, NRDA CEO Dr. Ayyaz Tamboli, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, DFO Visvesh Kumar, Assistant Collector Namrata Jain and officials of all the various departments were present in the meeting.
