The Rajya Sabha election in Bihar has sparked a flurry of confident declarations from NDA camp. Upendra Kushwaha, fielded by the National Democratic Alliance, proclaimed victory on all five seats, urging opponents to abandon their pipe dreams. In a press interaction in Patna, he underscored that the alliance’s dominance was apparent right from the filing of nominations.

“NDA will secure every single one of the five seats. Counting today will validate our stance,” Kushwaha affirmed, brushing aside opposition narratives as mere confusion tactics. He specifically targeted Tejashwi Yadav, jibing at RJD’s past ambitions for the chief minister’s chair that never materialized.

“RJD is gradually vanishing from Bihar politics, so their MLAs going missing? That’s par for the course,” Kushwaha quipped. Deputy CM Vijay Sinha reinforced this, attributing NDA’s edge to unwavering public support. He envisioned the elected members driving Bihar’s progress through effective governance in Parliament.

Sinha lambasted the opposition’s issue drought, labeling them chronic whiners who tormented Bihar in the past and are now reaping electoral rejection. JD(U)’s Sanjay Jha predicted a massive vote haul for NDA, with evening results set to seal the deal.

Highlighting RJD’s hotel strategy for MLAs, Jha pointed to internal distrust plaguing the opposition. This election underscores Bihar’s shifting alliances and voter preferences, with NDA poised for a clean sweep amid high-stakes drama.

Tensions within Bihar’s first family of politics boiled over as Rohini Acharya launched an indirect but blistering critique of her brother Tejashwi Yadav on social media, right before the RJD’s…

Tensions within Bihar’s first family of politics boiled over as Rohini Acharya launched an indirect but blistering critique of her brother Tejashwi Yadav on social media, right before the RJD’s national executive committee convenes in Patna. The agenda? A proposal to appoint Tejashwi as National Working President, amplifying his authority in the party founded by their father, Lalu Prasad Yadav.

In a lengthy X post, Rohini invokes the spirit of ‘Laluwad’—Lalu’s unwavering fight for social and economic justice for the downtrodden. She accuses unnamed leaders of allowing the party to fall into ‘deplorable disarray’ under the influence of infiltrators sent by ‘fascist opponents’ to obliterate Lalu’s legacy. These ‘intruders,’ she claims, are succeeding in their mission to hijack the people’s party.

Calling for accountability, Rohini insists that those in leadership must confront hard questions instead of dodging them with ‘illogical diversions, rude behavior, and uncivil language’ toward loyalists. ‘If “he” remains silent, it proves collusion with the conspiracy,’ she added cryptically, fueling speculation about Tejashwi.

The backdrop is Bihar’s volatile political landscape, where RJD eyes a comeback after recent elections. Lalu will preside over the meeting attended by top brass, including legislators and state heads. Tejashwi already shares decision-making powers post-constitutional amendments, but this elevation signals a generational shift—now complicated by sibling discord.

Rohini’s repeated public jabs highlight deepening Yadav family fractures, raising questions about RJD’s unity. As the party grapples with ‘Laluwad’s’ erosion, her post demands a purge of ‘saboteurs.’ The executive meet could either heal wounds or expose more cracks, with implications for Bihar’s opposition ahead.
