Police received information about the incident at the Girwa Ghat on the Hasdev River. Police officers, aided by divers, bravely entered the water. Despite facing the risk of being swept away by the strong current, they managed to reach the young man who had jumped.

Upon questioning, the man identified himself as Rahul, a resident of Kashi Nagar. He revealed his love for a girl residing in Atal Awas, constructed in Maharana Pratap Nagar. The couple had decided to marry, but while Rahul’s family was in agreement, the girl’s family opposed the marriage. As a result, they decided to commit suicide by jumping into the Hasdev River.

According to Rahul, the divers were unable to locate the girl who jumped with him. Her whereabouts and condition remain unknown.
