In a high-octane IPL 2026 clash at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Gujarat Titans set a formidable target of 205 for 3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 24. This innings not only gave GT their highest score ever against RCB but also showcased Sai Sudharsan’s mastery at the top.

The innings kicked off with Gill and Sudharsan stitching a record 128-run opening partnership in 12.4 overs, surpassing any previous GT stand against RCB. Gill departed after a solid 32 from 24 balls, leaving Sudharsan to anchor and accelerate.

Sudharsan reached his third IPL ton in style – 100 off 58 balls, laced with 11 boundaries and 5 sixes. This knock propelled him past 2000 IPL runs in record time: just 47 innings, making him GT’s second-quickest after Shubman Gill.

Buttler added 25 off 16, Sundar an unbeaten 19 off 12, and debutant Holder blazed 23 off 10 to finish strongly. RCB’s attack lacked bite, as Kumar, Sharma, and Hazlewood claimed single scalps each.

Team updates added intrigue: GT swapped Phillips for Holder and Suthar, while RCB slotted in Bethell for the injured Salt. With 205 on the board, the chase promises fireworks under the Bengaluru lights. GT’s batsmen have thrown down the gauntlet – now it’s RCB’s turn to respond.
