New Delhi is undergoing a massive security overhaul in preparation for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit on December 4-5. This high-stakes trip follows his previous visit in December 2021. Security apparatus confirmed the arrival of nearly 50 Russian officers who have commenced comprehensive sweeps of all designated locations. Sources close to the arrangements described the visit as operating under extreme “secret cover,” emphasizing the layered security protocols. Upon his arrival, the outer security perimeter will be managed by elite NSG commandos. This will be complemented by distinct protective layers from the Special Protection Group (SPG), Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), Intelligence Bureau (IB), and Delhi Police. The security arsenal will also include advanced jammers, AI-powered monitoring systems, route sanitization units, and anti-sniper squads. The hotel designated for the Russian delegation has already undergone exhaustive security checks and will operate under a 24/7 protection system. Special arrangements are in place for the accompanying delegation. The advance team of 50 officers has been diligently surveying Putin’s tentative itinerary and potential last-minute additions, with only select Indian security agency members in direct contact with Putin’s core security detail. This extensive security arrangement ensures a meticulously controlled environment for the high-profile visit.

A Delhi court has issued a non-bailable warrant for Vikash Yadav, a former R&AW officer, following accusations by the United States of his involvement in a plot to assassinate Khalistani…

A Delhi court has issued a non-bailable warrant for Vikash Yadav, a former R&AW officer, following accusations by the United States of his involvement in a plot to assassinate Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. The court also sent a notice to Yadav’s surety due to his failure to appear in a separate kidnapping and extortion case, despite repeated summons. Additional Sessions Judge Saurabh Partap Singh Laler of Patiala House Courts noted Yadav’s absence and directed the issuance of the warrant, along with a notice to the surety under the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita. The next hearing is scheduled for October 17.

U.S. prosecutors have accused Yadav of directing a foiled plot to kill Pannun, a case that has strained India-U.S. relations. U.S. authorities have filed murder-for-hire and money laundering charges against Yadav, who allegedly used the alias “Amanat” to communicate with a co-conspirator, Nikhil Gupta, to facilitate the assassination. Yadav, born in Haryana in 1984, was an Assistant Commandant at the CRPF. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has stated that the individual named in the U.S. indictment is no longer employed by the Indian government.

The Indian government has named senior IPS officer Parag Jain as the new chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). He will take over the responsibility for a two-year…

The Indian government has named senior IPS officer Parag Jain as the new chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). He will take over the responsibility for a two-year term, succeeding Ravi Sinha, whose tenure concludes on June 30. Jain, currently heading the Aviation Research Centre (ARC), has been instrumental in bolstering India’s external intelligence capabilities. Under his leadership, the ARC played a vital role in gathering crucial intelligence during ‘Operation Sindoor,’ especially when monitoring Pakistan’s military activities and terrorist groups was paramount.

Parag Jain, an IPS officer from the 1989 batch of the Punjab cadre, brings a wealth of field experience and strategic intelligence expertise to his new leadership role. As the second most senior officer in R&AW, he currently reports directly to the chief, overseeing high-risk operations and intelligence units. With over 15 years of service in R&AW, Jain has become a key figure in India’s counter-terrorism infrastructure. His areas of expertise include counter-terrorism operations, internal security in Punjab, monitoring Khalistan-linked movements, and surveillance of cross-border migrant networks. His operational experience includes significant postings during the Punjab militancy period, including roles in Bhatinda, Mansa, Hoshiarpur, Chandigarh, and Ludhiana. In external intelligence, Jain handled the Pakistan desk and was posted at critical junctures after the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and during Operation Balakot. Jain’s international experience is also notable. In Ottawa, Canada, he played a key role in monitoring and infiltrating militant Sikh separatist networks while observing the diaspora. His posting in Sri Lanka provided valuable insights during the 2022 economic and political crisis, providing expertise vital for India’s strategic interests in a global landscape.

Amarjit Singh Dulat, the former chief of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), has expressed admiration for Pakistan’s Army Chief, Asim Munir, following his meeting in the US. Dulat has called for a reciprocal gesture, suggesting that Munir visit India and meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help improve relations between the two countries. Dulat’s remarks were made during an interview focusing on his recently published book, ‘The Chief Minister and the Spy.’ He highlighted the significance of Prime Minister Modi’s past visit to Pakistan and expressed hope that Pakistan would similarly work towards thawing the strained relationship. Dulat specifically congratulated Field Marshal Asim Munir and suggested a meeting at Hyderabad House, followed by a visit to Amritsar. He believes that such interactions could help to soften the existing hardline stances and foster better understanding. Dulat emphasized that despite the current tensions, a meeting between the leaders could be a positive step, similar to the recent meeting between Munir and US officials.

WWE icon Goldberg made a dramatic return after an eight-month absence, stunning fans and setting the stage for a major feud. Goldberg, who had previously announced his intention to have his last match in 2025, challenged World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. His comeback, which had been highly anticipated, sent the WWE Universe into a frenzy.

During a recent episode of WWE Raw, Gunther, after acknowledging Jey Uso’s performance at WrestleMania 41, was interrupted by Goldberg’s signature entrance music. Goldberg entered the ring, reminding Gunther of their past interactions and challenged him to a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, declaring Gunther as his final opponent. The segment ended with Goldberg standing tall as fans celebrated his return.

This confrontation follows a previous incident at WWE Bad Blood 2024, where a heated exchange between Goldberg and Gunther hinted at a future rivalry. Now, their long-awaited clash appears imminent, sparking excitement among fans.
