Delhi’s commuters are jubilant over the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail, which has revolutionized the Delhi-Meerut corridor with its blistering speed and modern amenities.

Flagged off by PM Narendra Modi on February 2, the train zips from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut in 55 minutes flat, a far cry from the old three-hour bus rides plagued by traffic.

Passengers arriving in Delhi on Monday morning couldn’t contain their excitement. ‘Our PM is changing India,’ one declared passionately. ‘Long live Narendra Modi! From three hours to 50 minutes – unbelievable!’

A traveler who clocked 45 minutes on the return leg gushed to reporters about the ‘outstanding’ comfort and efficiency. ‘Kudos to the government for this game-changer.’

Returning from Dubai, Shashi Chandra Mangal noted, ‘World-class facilities are now here at home. India’s transformation fills us with pride.’

Another rider, Khalid Khan, marveled at halving his travel time to 55 minutes. ‘This saves hours and opens doors for better business ties between Delhi and Meerut,’ he said.

With faces lit up in smiles, passengers agree: the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail embodies Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat, making daily travel not just faster, but futuristic.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made history in Meerut by launching the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and the city’s new metro line simultaneously—a feat never before achieved in India. Speaking at…

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made history in Meerut by launching the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and the city’s new metro line simultaneously—a feat never before achieved in India. Speaking at the event, he positioned this development as a powerhouse for Viksit Uttar Pradesh and Viksit Bharat, boosting connectivity to unprecedented levels.

The Prime Minister’s rally address painted a vivid picture of integrated transport: metros zipping through city streets while rapid rails bridge urban clusters. This dual launch from one venue symbolizes India’s leap into modern, efficient public transit.

On X, PM Modi shared striking images from his visit, declaring the day pivotal for ultra-modern infrastructure growth. He took pride in handing over the full Delhi-Meerut corridor to the public, vowing unwavering dedication to easing citizens’ journeys. The Meerut Metro, he added, will simplify life for locals immensely.

Taking a metro ride himself, Modi chatted with schoolchildren, later posting snapshots that captured the infectious excitement. The passion of Meerut’s people for development projects left him invigorated.

Slamming past delays, PM Modi asserted that his administration finishes what it starts—evidenced by his personal involvement from inception to inauguration. Metro expansion has surged from five cities pre-2014 to more than 25 today, crowning India with the third-largest global network.

Innovation shines in the project’s multimodal hubs at key stations, uniting rail, metro, and buses. Namo Bharat and metro services will operate on shared infrastructure, enabling fluid transitions for commuters heading downtown or to the capital.

Families stand to benefit hugely, with reduced reliance on Delhi rentals for jobs or education. This corridor isn’t just tracks and trains; it’s a lifeline reshaping regional economies and daily lives, propelling India forward.
