Punjab’s healthcare landscape is set for transformation as Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann unveiled multiple initiatives during a public rally in Hoshiarpur. The highlight was the foundation laying for a Rs 268 crore medical college equipped with a 300-bed hospital, coupled with the announcement of Shaheed Udham Singh State Institute of Medical Sciences to be ready in two years.

Mann emphasized the Aam Aadmi Party’s unwavering dedication to world-class health services reaching every home. Under this vision, the state will produce 100 MBBS graduates each year, backed by cutting-edge diagnostics and surgical expertise.

To fortify primary care, he launched a Rs 9.18 crore community health center benefiting dozens of villages and greenlit seven additional Health and Wellness Centers. These steps mark a decisive shift towards accessible, quality healthcare at the village level.

On the infrastructure front, the 105-km Balachaur-Garhshankar-Hoshiarpur-Dasuya road, priced at Rs 99 crore, promises smoother links from Chandigarh to Jammu-Kashmir. Pilgrims heading to sacred sites like Anandpur Sahib and Naina Devi will find travel far more convenient, with reduced journey times to major cities.

Reflecting on governance, Mann lambasted previous governments for decades of mismanagement that crippled development. He highlighted AAP’s track record of fulfilling electoral pledges swiftly, claiming it’s the only party in India doing so comprehensively. As Punjab marches towards prosperity, Mann warned against opposition tactics aimed at derailing the momentum.

In a stirring address to the Saini community in Dinanagar, Gurdaspur, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini envisioned a resurgent ‘Rangla Punjab’ on Sunday. This land of Gurus and martyrs, battered yet unbroken by Partition’s trauma, must reclaim its confident spirit, he asserted.

The forthcoming Punjab elections represent a pivotal moment to realign politics and safeguard community dignity, Saini declared. His presence on this revered ground fills him with pride, and he implored all to collaborate in making Punjab a development leader once more.

Saini credited PM Modi’s leadership for honoring the Saini community by appointing him CM from humble beginnings. Ahead lies his second Haryana budget presentation tomorrow, boasting fulfillment of 60 out of 217 promises, with 120 advancing swiftly.

Haryana’s welfare model shines bright: complimentary dialysis statewide, doorstep pensions for elders, financial support for women via Ladli Laxmi (Rs 2,100/month), prompt MSP payments to farmers within two days, and compensation schemes. Affordable homes for the underprivileged, plots for jobless households, and land titles for panchayat dwellers mark inclusive progress.

Punjab’s development lags due to entrenched power elites, Saini critiqued, signaling a need for change. With OBCs at 31% of the populace, their consolidated support for BJP will decisively shape the next government, reviving Punjab’s richness and dynamism, he predicted confidently.
