In a dazzling display of cultural pride, RTC B.Ed College in Ranchi hosted the Hindu New Year (Vikram Samvat 2083) on March 19, 2026, breathing life into age-old Sanatan customs. The campus transformed into a hub of joy and devotion, with participants immersing themselves in rituals that echo India’s rich historical legacy.

In a stirring address to young minds in Ranchi, Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, Chief of the Indian Navy, positioned India among the globe’s strategic heavyweights. ‘A powerful nation alone garners international attention,’ he stated, aligning this strength with the ambitious ‘Viksit Bharat-2047’ roadmap.

The event, hosted at Tender Heart School, brought together students from eight local institutions under the ‘Developed India-2047’ initiative. Defence State Minister Sanjay Seth’s presence added prestige. Admiral Tripathi highlighted the Navy’s prowess in enduring extended conflicts and overcoming formidable odds.

Fielding a pointed query on escalating arms purchases despite peace rhetoric, the Admiral clarified: True peace demands capability, not mere dialogue. India’s push towards full ‘Atmanirbhar’ status in weaponry is accelerating.

The interactive session covered national security imperatives, leadership essentials, SSB selection processes, and geopolitical shifts. Admiral Tripathi prescribed a quartet of virtues for triumph: optimism, confidence, integrity, and bold aspirations.

‘Learn to stay joyful innately; life eases automatically,’ he advised the youth. He stressed that sincere duty performance, relentless effort, and committed workmanship are vital for youth-led nation-building.

Minister Seth hailed the Navy Chief’s visit as Ranchi’s honor, noting how such engagements fuel patriotic fervor among the young. Attendees included school leaders, educators, families, military dignitaries, and eager students, with smooth conduction by Shivangi Shukla.

The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee organized a ‘Save the Constitution Day’ event in Ranchi, emphasizing the pivotal role of India’s constitution in safeguarding democracy. Led by Pradesh Congress President Keshav…

The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee organized a ‘Save the Constitution Day’ event in Ranchi, emphasizing the pivotal role of India’s constitution in safeguarding democracy. Led by Pradesh Congress President Keshav Mahto Kamlesh, the gathering at the Old Assembly Hall featured discussions on the constitution’s significance. The event commenced with tributes to the constitution’s architect, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and its first chairman, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, through floral tributes. A collective recitation of the Preamble marked the formal closing of the seminar.

Keshav Mahto Kamlesh highlighted the constitution as the soul of Indian democracy, with its core essence embedded in the Preamble. He noted that the Indian constitution, the world’s longest written one, also benefited from the contributions of individuals from Jharkhand, underscoring the state’s importance. Kamlesh urged a strong counter-response against those attempting to weaken constitutional bodies or alter its fundamental nature. He asserted that the Congress would firmly oppose any move towards abolishing reservations.

Finance Minister Dr. Radha Krishna Kishore stated that the constitution guarantees equal rights for all sections of society, regardless of caste, religion, or creed. He criticized the current central government’s tendency to concentrate power, alleging that Hindutva is being promoted while Scheduled Castes and Tribes are being denied their rights. He called for the BJP to reflect on whether it truly respects the underprivileged. The Finance Minister also lamented the perceived step-motherly treatment of Jharkhand by the center due to the state’s Mahagathbandhan government, contrasting it with the Congress’s past approach of unbiased support for states.

Former Finance Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon addressed the ‘400 paar’ slogan raised for the Lok Sabha elections, terming it an effort to change the constitution. He referenced the provisions for constitutional amendments but cautioned against altering its basic structure, citing the Kesavananda Bharati case ruling. Oraon alleged that the RSS, which considers Manusmriti its constitution, is behind the push for constitutional review, pointing to comments made by its chief, Mohan Bhagwat. He praised the Preamble’s socialist ideals and its reflection of collective welfare and national interest. Oraon also accused the central government of deliberately withholding funds from non-BJP ruled states to hinder their development.

Former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay strongly condemned the current central administration for dismantling the secular fabric of the nation. He expressed concern over the integrity of India’s electoral system, which was once lauded globally, now facing accusations of manipulation. Professor Amar Choudhary, former Registrar of Ranchi University, spoke about the constitution’s crucial role in ensuring rights for the marginalized, including Dalits, backward classes, and tribals, through affirmative action like reservations, which has led to their socio-economic upliftment.

A significant meeting of Kshatriya Gaurav Ekta Ranchi district was held recently, chaired by Amarendra Singh, to strategize for organizational growth and strength. A major statewide event is planned for February in Ranchi, anticipating a massive turnout from the community. Discussions focused on solidifying the organization, with attendees from across Ranchi’s wards and surrounding areas offering valuable suggestions for the upcoming February program’s success.

Key decisions included the formation of ward and block committees throughout Ranchi to connect with and mobilize community members. These committees will also be established in rural areas. Former MLC Praveen Singh emphasized the organization’s mission to unite and uplift the Kshatriya community. He highlighted the extensive preparations underway across Jharkhand for the February event, involving tours of all districts to garner support and participation. Singh stressed that collective strength is crucial for societal development and political-social recognition.

He urged every community member to take responsibility for the event’s success, framing it as a collective societal endeavor. The demand for the formation of a ‘Swarn Aayog’ (OBC Commission) in Jharkhand, similar to Bihar, was reiterated. Former MP Sunil Singh elaborated on organizational expansion, noting efforts to unite Kshatriya communities in the Santhal Pargana region, who are expected to participate in large numbers. He also underscored the importance of women’s involvement, suggesting that their participation will bring new strength to the organization and announcing plans for women’s empowerment programs.
