Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday exhorted party’s women leaders and workers to work unitedly for repeating the performance of State Assembly elections in ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
He was addressing members of the State Woman’s Wing of Congress party’s Working Committee meeting held at Rajiv Bhawan here.
Baghel while addressing the meeting announced that, as was done in recently held Assembly elections, this time too, the selection of candidates for Lok Sabha elections would also be done with the consent of party workers.
He also appealed to the woman leaders to claim their candidature without any fear and if they would be the choice of Congress workers as poll candidates, they would definitely be fielded in the Lok Sabha elections.
