  • Two earthquakes in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district

    JAIPUR: Two back-to-back earthquakes were recorded in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district, the Met Department said on Friday.

    The first earthquake was recorded at 12.42 am near Janglu town, measuring 3.4 on Richter scale while the second earthquake was recorded in the same region near Barsingsar at 2.57 am, the department said.

    There was no report of any loss due to the earthquake.

  • 4.3 magnitude earthquake hits Rajasthan’s Barmer, no loss of life reported

    JAIPUR: A 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck in Rajasthan’s Barmer on Thursday morning with tremors being felt across the district and in nearby regions.

    According to the police, no loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.

    The epicentre of the moderate-intensity quake was near Balotra city in Barmer, the MeT department said.

    Besides Barmer, tremors were felt in Sanchore of Jalore district and elsewhere at 11.15 am.

    JAIPUR: Earthquake tremors were felt in many border areas, including Bikaner, in Rajasthan on Thursday morning, the meteorological department said.

    The tremors were felt in many border areas of the state at 7.42 am and the epicenter of the earthquake measuring 4.8 was in Pakistan, it said.

    Police said no loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.

    Tremors were felt in Bikaner district on Wednesday morning as well.

    The magnitude of the earthquake, which occurred at 5.24 am, was 5.3.
