Light showers are anticipated in 33 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The maximum temperature in the NCR is predicted to range from 32 to 34 degrees Celsius today. Uttar Pradesh is expected to receive light to moderate rain today, with showers forecasted in 33 districts until October 5th. The Meteorological Department recommends that individuals consult real-time rainfall updates before venturing out.

Clear weather is expected in Haryana today, while scattered rain is possible in certain areas of Punjab. Eastern Madhya Pradesh may experience light to moderate rain. Cities such as Bhopal and Indore will have dry weather. The Meteorological Department anticipates sunny conditions overall.

Ravana Dahan programs were held at various locations in the capital, Delhi. Prominent political figures, including Prime Minister Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, participated. At the Nav Shri Dharmic Ramlila Committee organized at the parade ground in Lal Qila, a 50-foot-tall Ravana effigy and 45-foot-tall effigies of Meghnad and Kumbhakaran were erected. In Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, the effigy of Ravana was burned on the occasion of Dussehra. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was present during the event. CM Sukhu said that the Dussehra festival is being celebrated with joy throughout the country. It is a festival of the victory of good over evil. We should all walk on the path of truth. In Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Ravana Dahan program. In Ludhiana, Punjab, the effigy of Ravana was also burned on the occasion of Dussehra. Additionally, Ravana effigies were burned in various cities of Uttar Pradesh including Varanasi, Kanpur, Lucknow, and Prayagraj.

In Jammu and Kashmir, the effigy of Ravana was also burned on the occasion of Dussehra. The Vijayadashami festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement at the Sports Stadium in Udhampur. Thousands of people participated in this festival, where effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakaran, and Meghnad were burned as a symbol of the victory of good over evil.

Ravana Dahan in Ranchi

In the capital city of Ranchi, amidst heavy rain, a 70-foot-tall Ravana effigy, a 65-foot-tall Kumbhakaran, and a 60-foot-tall Meghnad effigy were burned. Chief Minister Hemant Soren attended the Ravana Dahan program as the chief guest. Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and Ranchi MLA CP Singh also participated. Fireworks were displayed during the event. Despite the rain, thousands of people stayed to watch the Ravana Dahan program.

The rain dampened the festive spirit, disappointing the thousands who had gathered at Ramlila grounds to witness the burning of Ravana. Prime Minister Modi was scheduled to attend the Vijayadashami celebrations at IP Extension, but the event was called off due to the adverse weather. The Prime Minister was expected to arrive at the ceremony in the Patparganj area of East Delhi around 6 pm. The rainfall forced the cancellation of his participation.

According to the weather department, a parade of monsoon clouds will take place from Lucknow to Varanasi on Dussehra. The rain and thunderstorms are likely to persist in Uttar Pradesh for the next three days, with heavy rainfall expected in several districts in the next 24 hours.

The weather in Bihar experienced a sudden shift on Wednesday. Rainfall occurred in Patna and several other districts. Rain is likely in many districts of Bihar on Dussehra as well. A forecast of heavy rainfall has been issued for 19 districts of the state today. There is a possibility of overcast conditions in the entire state, including the capital of Jharkhand, Ranchi, until October 3rd. Rain is expected on Dussehra in the state. A yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for some areas in 12 districts of the state on October 2nd and 3rd.

Yellow alerts have been issued for Sukma, Bijapur, Dantewada, Bastar, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Kanker, Dhamtari, Gariaband, Mahasamund, Raipur, Baloda Bazar, Janjgir-Champa, Raigarh, Bilaspur, Korba, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Surajpur, Korea, and Balrampur, with the expectation of rain and strong winds.

In the capital city of Raipur, the sky will be cloudy today, with a chance of rain and thunderstorms. The temperature is expected to range between 24 and 31 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature in Delhi today could reach 36 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius. Gentle surface winds from the north-east may prevail in the morning. Delhi will experience partly cloudy conditions until October 2nd. The weather department indicates no likelihood of rain in the region for the next five days, meaning Delhi residents will continue to endure the heat.

The Meteorological Department reported that a low-pressure area is active over the coastal areas of Gangetic West Bengal, North Odisha, and the northwest Bay of Bengal. A cyclonic circulation is present in the upper air up to a height of approximately 7.6 kilometers and is expected to weaken in the next 24 hours. Two troughs are also associated with this system; the first trough extends from Gangetic West Bengal to Telangana at a height of 1.5 to 3.1 kilometers, while the second trough extends from Gangetic West Bengal to the south Maharashtra coast, passing through Odisha, South Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and North Interior Karnataka at a height of 4.5 to 5.8 kilometers.

Due to the influence of these weather systems, light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers are expected in many places in the state today. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning in some places. The main area of rainfall is expected to be central Chhattisgarh today.

According to weather experts, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal and the adjacent central Bay of Bengal on September 25. It is likely to move westwards. It is expected to intensify further and transform into a depression over the northwest Bay of Bengal and the adjacent west-central Bay of Bengal, towards southern Odisha and north Andhra. It is expected to reach near the south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coast on September 27. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the Bastar division and its adjoining districts from September 26.
