  • Local sports competitions are a better way to attract rural talent – Dr. Mahant

    The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Charandas Mahanta has said that it is necessary to promote sports activities along with education. He said that sports competitions organized at the local level are a good means of exposing the hidden talent in the villages. Dr. Mahant was addressing the concluding program of the cricket competition held at JMP College Sports Complex in Takhatpur of Bilaspur district in memory of late Thakur Balram Singh. He said that players of Chhattisgarh also have the ability to make the state proud at the international level.

    Addressing the concluding occasion of the cricket competition, the Revenue and Disaster Management Minister of Chhattisgarh Government Shri Jai Singh Aggarwal said that it is necessary to encourage local level players. Certainly this event has boosted the morale of the players and in future these players will perform even better. It is worth mentioning that this competition started at Panchayat level from 15 January. 128 teams participated in it, out of which 122 panchayats and 6 urban areas were involved.

  • Child scientists of Chhattisgarh made the state proud

    The State Level Children’s Science Congress was organized by the Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology from 21 to 23 January 2021 at the Biotechnology Studies School, Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University Raipur. This program took place in collaboration with National Council of Science and Technology Communication, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
    The names of selected child scientists at the state level were announced at the webinar by the state educational coordinator, National Children’s Science Congress. OFM, Bunagaon, Kondagaon, Sarvagna Singh, DPS School, Jamnipali, Korba, Savita, Government of Uttar Pradesh V., Gokulpur. Dhamtari, Ayush Sahu, Govt.     The main topics of National Children’s Science Congress in the year 2020 and 2021 – Science for Sustainable Living and five sub-topics, including ‘Ecology for Sustainable Life’, ‘Appropriate Technology’, Social Innovation, Formulation, Development And modeling and traditional knowledge systems. In the concluding session of the 28th state level Children’s Science Congress program, Vice Chancellor Prof. K. L. Verma said that with a view to develop scientific interest in children, this program is organized in the year of India under the aegis of National Council of Science and Technology Communication, Department of Knowledge and Technology, Government of India, which is very commendable. Director General of Chhattisgarh Science and Technology, Mr. Moodit Kumar Singh said that the National Children’s Science Congress provides a platform to children, where they identify and solve local problems through their creativity and innovation thinking, experiment, data compilation, research-analysis And are motivated to reach the result through innovative process. He requested the district coordinators and mentor teachers to motivate the children to advance in the field of research.

  • Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu Receives Pfizer Covid Vaccine, Says ‘excited And Proud’

    On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received Covid-19 vaccination at Sheba Hospital in Tel Aviv, becoming the first  Israeli to be vaccinated with the Pfizer/BioNTech shot. The vaccination was shown live on Israel television as Netanyahu also became the first sitting prime minister publicly known to receive the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine. Netanyahu was of the opinion that this small injection is a giant leap for the health. 

    Netanyahu said that after taking the vaccine shot that he thought about reopening his country again and about returning to normalcy. In a tweet, Netanyahu also said, “We have worked hard to bring millions of vaccines to our small country. Israel is one of the first countries to be vaccinated. Tonight, more than ever, I am excited and proud to be the Prime Minister of Israel.
