Shiv Sena: Days after Ambedkar snapped ties with Shiv Sena (UBT), Sanjay Raut says MVA hasn’t lost hope in VBA chief
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Monday said Maha Vikas Aghadi has not lost hope in Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi chief Prakash Ambedkar, days after the latter called off the tie-up with the Uddhav Thackeray-led party in Maharashtra. Raut claimed public support is with MVA whose electoral victory would have been grand had VBA come along.
Talking to reporters, Raut said Ambedkar should have accepted MVA’s proposal of four seats for Lok Sabha elections, but the Opposition camp has not lost hopes on the VBA.
“There is public support for MVA. Our victory would have been grand had Balasaheb (Prakash) Ambedkar been with us. But this does not mean we are dependent on them,” he said. Noting that Ambedkar is a respectable leader with a good party organisation, Raut said MVA leaders held discussions and kept requesting him.
“He should have accepted the (MVA) proposal. But we still have not lost hope on him,” he added.
Ambedkar on Saturday said he was calling off the alliance with Shiv Sena (UBT) and would declare his next move on March 26. “I am giving back their four seats,” he said on Monday. Contesting the MVA’s claim, the Dalit leader said VBA was officially offered only three seats including Akola.
Ambedkar had virtually blamed Uddhav Thackeray for the break down of the 14-month-old alliance.
“I had asked Uddhav Thackeray that Shiv Sena (UBT) and VBA should first sit together and chalk out strategy for a joint political path, but that didn’t happen. The VBA alliance with Sena (UBT) doesn’t exist any longer,” he had said.
Ambedkar had also claimed that the internal strife in MVA allies- Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), and Congress- doesn’t seem to end.
The VBA had affected the prospects of UPA candidates in Nanded, Solapur, Hatkanangale, Beed, Parbhani and Sangli seats, to name a few, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which ultimately helped NDA.

Prakash Ambedkar’s change in statements put Uddhav Thackeray on sticky wicket
Express News Service
NEW DELHI: Prakash Ambedkar-led Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi has formally cemented his party alliance with Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, but Ambedkar is not firm on his commitment and that has put Uddhav Thackeray on a sticky wicket.
Prakash Ambedkar on Friday said that he is ready for an alliance with BJP as well if they meet his terms and conditions. Ambedkar said that in politics no one is untouchable and they are not averse to allying with BJP.
“In politics, we do have differences of opinion but we are not permanent enemies of each other. We all are Indian. We are even ready to ally with BJP and RSS also if they abandon Manusmruti and follow the path of our ideology. BJP should work within the framework of the constitutions of India,” Prakash Ambedkar said.
“Abandoning Manusmriti means RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat should burn this manuscript in Nagpur and said that Manusmruti is the religious script of the Hindu religion. If they do this, then we will surely welcome the BJP RSS. They are not our enemy,” Ambedkar said.
He also said that Sanjay Raut should not advise him on what statement he should make or not make. “I will surely accept and welcome the advice from Uddhav Thackeray. I made a statement about Sharad Pawar that was completely based on my past experience,” Ambedkar clarified.
Sanjay Raut earlier said that Prakash Ambedkar has allied with Shiv Sena and it has officially announced.
“Shiv Sena is part of Maha Vikas Aghadi where NCP chief Sharad Pawar is the main pillar. Prakash Ambedkar should think twice while making unsubstantial statements against Sharad Pawar when alliance talk is in progress,” Sanjay Raut said.
NCP is not happy with Shiv Sena for tying with Prakash Ambedkar because of his fickle mind nature.
“We have closely experienced Prakash Ambedkar and his strategy. He is not a man of word and always undermines others’ strength. In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, he demanded NCP’s traditional seat Baramti for his party candidate who will surely lose against the BJP. So, it is very difficult to understand whether Prakash Ambedkar works to help the BJP or secular parties like Congress and NCP. He always took the stand against NCP and Congress therefore it is very difficult to rely on him for a long-term alliance. Now, Uddhav Thackeray has to ensure his alliance with Ambedkar survives till the major elections,” he added, requesting anonymity.

Sameer Wankhede religion row: Law seems to be on his side, says Prakash Ambedkar
By PTI
MUMBAI: Amid a controversy surrounding the religion of Sameer Wankhede, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) leader Prakash Ambedkar on Saturday said the law is on the side of the Mumbai NCB chief, whom Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik had accused of hiding his “true religion- Islam” and securing a Central job by faking his caste certificate.
Malik had alleged that Sameer Wankhede, an IRS officer, was born as Muslim but he forged his caste certificate to get a job under a reserved category.
Wankhede, the Mumbai zonal director of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), had denied the allegations.
“As per my information, the law is on the side of Sameer Wankhede. There is a similar case where the Supreme Court had ruled in the favour of a man from Kerala who wanted to disassociate himself from his parent’s religion Christianity.
There is a Supreme Court verdict on February 25, 2015, where the case is similar to that of Sameer Wankhede’s.
The petitioner’s parents had accepted Christianity before his birth.
But after he became an adult, he filed a petition saying he wanted to be associated with the religion of his grandparents, who are non-Christians,” he said.
The Supreme Court had upheld his appeal and ruled that since the petitioner is an adult now, he can associate himself with his grandparents’ religion, Ambedkar said.
“I think legally Wankhede is clean and the law is on his side,” he said.
Speaking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to repeal the three contentious farm laws, Ambedkar said a case is pending before the Supreme Court wherein petitioners have argued that agriculture is a state subject.

VBA chief Prakash Ambedkar seeks President’s Rule in Maharashtra, meets Governor
By PTI
MUMBAI: Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi leader Prakash Ambedkar on Monday met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari expressing concerns over the prevailing situation in Maharashtra and demanded imposition of President’s Rule in the state for some days.Speaking to reporters after meeting the governor at the Raj Bhavan, Ambedkar said there is no need to dissolve the Assembly.
Ambedkar referred to deaths of Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput, the actor’s manager Disha Salian, Lok Sabha MP Mohan Delkar and businessmen Mansukh Hiran and claimed these were “not probed properly”.
He claimed Adivasis or members of Scheduled Caste communities are killed in villages but their deaths are not even probed.
He referred to former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh’s allegations against state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and claimed criminal elements in politics and the administration were running the state.
“Now, there is a letter about collecting Rs 100 crore for a part. For whom it was collected? We don’t think only one minister was involved in it,” Ambedkar said, adding that it needs to be found out if the “money collection decision” was made at the party or the state cabinet level.
“We have requested the governor to send a report to the Centre, President to impose President’s Rule in Maharashtra for some time. However, there is no need to dissolve the Assembly,” Ambedkar said.

Editorial: – Why the Congress, which handles the tone of non-violence, with the riots like Maoism and Koregaon?
The Congress, which has stirred up the chorus of non-violence, has now taken the path of violence to come to power in Yen Kane.
Today’s big disclosure is that the Congress has been in the hands of Bhima Koregaon violence. Even yesterday it was news that a note was recovered in the raids at Lala Wilson, a member of Yalgard Council. According to this letter, the Congress party was allegedly providing financial resources to the Maoists. During the raid of Pune Police, a letter written by Comrade Ru was written on 2 January 2018.
Before discussing it, it is necessary to tell that Mani Shankar Aiyar, on the instructions of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, went to Pakistan and said in an interview with TV channel that Pakistan should help to remove the Modi government. After this Anchor asked if they want ISI’s help.
Today, Rahul Gandhi is a key figure: Omar Khalid, Kanhaiya Kumar, Hardik Patel and are under trial for sedition.
Even the five people arrested in the violence of Bhima Koregaon are possible even in the cases of sedition, it is possible. Jigres Mewani is also in the eyes of the Pune police. All this is helpful to Rahul Gandhi. Apart from this, women like Teesta Shitalwar are also included in this list.
Regarding the Bhima-Koregaon Violence, MLA Jignesh Mayvan, independent MLA from Gujarat, has come under the radar of the police. Pune’s Joint Commissioner (CP) Ravindra Kadam informed about this during the press conference. He said that if necessary, Mewani can be called for questioning under investigation.
In the case of Bhima-Koregaon violence, the police has arrested Surendra Gadling, Sudhir Rao, Ronana Wilson, Shoma Sen and Mahesh Raut. Stating that further, the police said that the police is investigating the whole matter and under this we (Police) have searched the houses of some of them. Rana Wilson’s house has been recovered by the police, pen drive, other documents including the hard disk. Along with this, the police is exploring the story of the involvement of Ronana Wilson and Surendra Gadling in the Naxal.
The 200th anniversary of the Bheem-Koregaon War, which was celebrated in the beginning of January, took a violent turn, in which a young man was killed and many were injured. Including 10 police jawans.
In the case of Bhima Korgaon violence, Prakash Ambedkar was also named. Dr. Nayeemam, senior editor of Times Now, has threatened Dr. Prakash Ambedkar, grandson of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
On January 1, the police arrested Sudhir Ravel, a Dalit activist from Mumbai and others from Nagpur and Delhi in the case of Bhima-Koregaon violence. Police raided some members of Yalgard Council and a note was recovered in this raid, in which the conspiracy of Bhima-Koregaon violence was exposed.
The Maoists are referring to the Congress in the letter written to the Yalgard Council, that the Dalit movement will help in furthering the movement. Along with that, he says that Jignesh Mewani and Omar Khalid will work on the bridge between them and the Congress. Not only this, Ambedkar’s nephew Prakash Ambedkar has also been told about how he wants to take advantage of the Dalit movement together with the Maoists.
A letter has been recovered in the raid conducted by Pune Police, which is clear that some people were plotting to fulfill their political interests.
It is evident from the fact that the Congress, which has stirred up the silence of non-violence, now wants to control the Maoist violence by spreading Dalits, peasants and spreading caste-rioting and creating a situation of civil war, to capture power. After being in power for 60 years now, he is stammering without power.
This is the reason why Congress leaders strongly protested against Pranab Mukherjee to attend the Sangh program and address the volunteers.
We hope that this leader of the address given by the former President today will try to maintain the unity and integrity of the country.
