  • In Pakistan, ‘Nawab Of Junagadh’ Appoints Son Its Wazir-e-Azam; ‘Will Free It From India’

In August this year, debt-distressed Pakistan released a new political map which depicted all of Kashmir as being part of its territory, as well as the regions of Sir Creek and Junagadh. For its absurdity, Prime Minister Imran Khan-led country was highly criticised by India in a strong-worded response.

Now, there are some people still in Pakistan who think that the former princely state of Junagadh is part of their country. The family of former Nawab of Junagadh who fled to Pakistan in 1947 after it was created has expressed gratitude to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. According to media reports, last week, the so-called ‘Nawab of Junagadh’, Jehangir Khan, made his son Ahmed Ali, the next ‘Wazir-e-Azam’ (Dewan) of Junagadh.

“I will always tell Modi that ‘Prime Minister Modi, Junagadh was part of Pakistan yesterday, it is part of Pakistan today and will be part of Pakistan tomorrow as well’,” Jehangir Khan said at an event ‘official recognition ceremony of Dewan of Junagadh state’  in Karachi. He also claimed that India has “illegally” occupied Junagadh. Meanwhile, the newly appointed Dewan Ahmed Ali also asserted that he will ensure Junagadh’s “independence” from India.

  • Patient Juve dominate possession and gain ground with win over Genoa

The parked bus has been Juventus’ Achilles heel this season, as the Bianconeri repeatedly failed to break down a team that elects to set and organize their defense in front of them. This has been especially difficult for them on the road, where Juve had only won once, against top flight newcomers Spezia — and even that was a bit more of a slog than the 4-1 scoreline suggested.

On the back of their biggest win of the season at Barcelona, it was hoped that Juve would carry that momentum on into the Stadio Luigi Ferraris against a Genoa team that has completely faceplanted since a season-opening win against Crotone. Now in 19th, the Grifone came into the game off the back of four losses and a draw, the latter of which came on an equalizer deep into stoppage time — after they had gone in front at the very beginning of stoppage time.

It was a classic trap game, especially considering the fact that the Marassi tends to have a negative effect on Juve’s mojo. Fortunately, it was a trap they didn’t fall into. It took a lot of huffing and puffing against a team that at times had all 11 players defending, but they finally pulled away in the second half, only to concede a soft equalizer minutes later on Genoa’s first shot of the game. But that setback didn’t send them spiraling. They kept pushing and eventually earned a pair of penalties, both of which were duly dispatched by Cristiano Ronaldo to earn a 3-1 win that, coupled with AC Milan’s 2-2 draw against Parma later in the day, saw Juve gain ground on the leaders headed into a big stretch of games before Christmas.

Andrea Pirlo got a boost a few days before the game when Alvaro Morata’s two-game suspension for dissent after the Benevento game was halved on appeal, making the Spaniard available for Sunday’s game. But Pirlo started him on the bench, employing a 3-5-2 shape. Wojciech Szczesny returned to the starting XI, sitting behind the defensive line of Matthijs de Ligt, Leonardo Bonucci, and Alex Sandro. Juan Cuadrado and Federico Chiesa were the wingbacks, surrounding the trio of Weston McKennie, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Adrien Rabiot. Paulo Dybala took Morata’s spot in the starting lineup beside Ronaldo.

While Hardik Pandya has reached the top-50 for the first time with a long jump.

Virat also performed well in the T20 series against Australia, due to which he has also occupied eighth place in the recently released T20 rankings with 697 points. Virat scored 134 runs in three T20 matches at an average of 44.66, which benefited the team and him.

Hardik, who has performed brilliantly in the ODI series, has also risen in the rankings and has reached 49th position with his career-high 553 points. • Israel Defence Forces Agree To Investigate Palestinian Teenager’s Death

Israel’s defence forces on December 6 announced in a statement that it will investigate the allegations about its military troops shooting dead a Palestinian child in Mughayir village. The act was strongly condemned by the United Nations, international human rights watch agencies and the European Union.

As per reports, the EU called for an immediate probe into the 13 years old Ali Abu Aliya’s killing in the West Bank with a bullet targeted in his stomach. While the Palestinians accused the Israeli soldiers of committing a humanitarian and a gory war crime, the EU delegation to Palestinian called for a full investigation into the shocking incident.

On Friday, the Palestinian teenager was among those protesting against Israeli land occupation and construction of Jewish settlements in the al-Mughayyir village of the occupied West Bank, near Ramallah. According to a UN Human Rights Watch report, the Palestinian kid was fatally shot by the Israeli forces after the confrontation broke out clashes between Palestinian civilians and Israeli soldiers. As the boy was rushed in an ambulance service to the nearby hospital, he had succumbed to the gunshot wound and was declared brought dead, Ramallah’s local health ministry confirmed in a statement.

  • Australia shocked, Warner out of Test series after ODI, T20

The Australian team has suffered a big setback in the series being played against India. Opener David Warner is out of the series due to injury. After the ODI, T20, Warner has also been ruled out of the Test series. The ICC has given this information. Joffra Orcher has been included in the squad after Australia’s dismissal of David Warner. Apart from this, bowler Pat Cummins has been rested in the first Test match against India.

It is known that Warner suffered a groin injury during the second ODI on Sunday. Warner had trouble getting up after diving in the fourth over of the Indian innings. Warner jumped to stop the ball and groaned painfully after falling. He was later taken out of the Sydney Cricket Ground. This senior player was taken to a nearby hospital for a scan.

Teammates Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell and physio David Beakley helped Warner walk a few steps to reach the Australian dressing room, after which he went straight to the hospital. Before being injured at mid-off, Warner played a brilliant 83 runs during Australia’s 389 for four.

The last match of the ODI series will be played in Canberra on Wednesday. A four-match Test series will be played after the limited overs series. Test matches will start in Adelaide from 17 December. Two days ago Marcus Stoinis also got a muscle strain in the opening match of the series. Significantly, Australia defeated India by 66 runs in the first ODI and 51 runs in the second ODI, and captured the three-match ODI series 1-0.
