The period of lockdown imposed to reduce the speed of corona infection in Bihar has been extended till 25 May. State Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tweeted this information himself on Thursday. The statewide lockdown was imposed from May 5 to reduce the case of corona infection, which expires on May 15. After this, the lockdown has been extended again for 10 days.
On Thursday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tweeted through his Twitter handle informing the people about the increase in lockdown, “Today the status of the lockdown implemented in Bihar was reviewed with the associate ministers and officials. The positive effect of the lockdown is visible. Hence, it has been decided to extend the lockdown in Bihar for the next 10 days i.e. from 16 to 25 May 2021.
”It is noteworthy that after the lockdown was imposed in Bihar, the number of corona infected is seen to decline. On Wednesday, after 22 days, the number of new infected came down to 10,000. On Wednesday, 9,863 corona-infected people have been identified in the state, taking the number of active patients in the state to 99,623. The state’s recovery rate also increased to 83.43 percent.
