A senior Indian Army official has revealed the strategic brilliance behind ‘Operation Sindoor’, a decisive retaliatory strike against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Command, stated in an exclusive interview that the operation successfully dismantled nine terror camps and served as a direct response to the tragic April 22 Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 26 individuals, predominantly tourists. The operation, executed with remarkable precision, involved coordinated efforts from the Army, Air Force, and Navy. In a swift 20-22 minute window on May 7, over 100 terrorists were neutralized. “Our objective was clear: there should be no collateral damage. We succeeded in this mission – even nearby buildings were not harmed. This clearly reflects our high capability in surveillance and targeting,” Lieutenant General Singh emphasized. The official further highlighted Pakistan’s failed attempts to retaliate on May 8 and 9, with all incoming threats, including loitering munitions, being effectively intercepted by Indian forces. Following these successful defensive measures, India launched a counter-offensive, reportedly destroying 11 Pakistani air force bases. This decisive action led to Pakistan’s ‘panic’ and subsequent proposal for a ceasefire, which India accepted only after inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Lieutenant General Singh reiterated that ‘Operation Sindoor’ underscores India’s unwavering capability to respond with precision and inflict severe damage on military capabilities if provoked by terrorist attacks or further escalation.

The public movement that had been ongoing for several days in Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK) has come to an end. Following an agreement between the PoK government and the Awami Action…

The public movement that had been ongoing for several days in Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK) has come to an end. Following an agreement between the PoK government and the Awami Action Committee (AAC), the government has accepted 21 of the 38 demands. Subsequently, the Awami Action Committee announced the termination of all protests. However, memorial processions will be held for the next three days in remembrance of those who died during the movement.

Under the agreement, the families of those killed in the protests will receive compensation equal to that of government employees, and one member of each family will be offered a job within 20 days. The injured will receive financial assistance of 1 million rupees each. Those responsible for violence and deaths will be prosecuted under anti-terrorism laws, and a judicial inquiry will also be conducted.

Significant decisions have been made by the government in the education sector. Two new boards will be established in PoK: the Intermediate Board and the Higher Secondary Education Board, and all existing boards will be linked to the central education board of Pakistan within 30 days. For health services, CT scan and MRI machines will be installed in each district. Additionally, funds will be released within 15 days for a health card scheme.

The Pakistani government will release 100 million rupees to improve the electricity system in PoK. Land will be given to displaced families in the Mirpur district within 30 days. Bridges will be constructed in Gulpur and Rahman (Kotli), and water supply and transmission lines will be laid in the Dadial area.

The government has decided to reduce the number of ministers and advisors to a maximum of 20. An announcement regarding the plan to build an airport in Mirpur will be made soon. The property transfer tax will be aligned with the rates in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The 2019 High Court decision related to hydroelectric projects will be implemented. All protesters arrested on October 2nd and 3rd in Rawalpindi and Islamabad will be released. Furthermore, the transport policy related to 1300cc vehicles will also be reviewed.

The government of Shehbaz Sharif has made considerable efforts to quell the unrest in Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK). A committee of ministers and leaders has been dispatched to PoK to negotiate…

The government of Shehbaz Sharif has made considerable efforts to quell the unrest in Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK). A committee of ministers and leaders has been dispatched to PoK to negotiate a resolution. Shehbaz himself has stated he will take action on the matter and has also instructed the army to take action.

Amidst these governmental measures, a question arises: Will the unrest in PoK subside? This article delves into the details.

**Why is there unrest in PoK?**
The Pakistan Kashmir Public Action Committee is protesting over 38 demands. The committee demands the abolition of the 12 seats reserved for migrants in the PoK assembly. The committee is also demanding an end to the VIP culture of the leaders.

There are two main reasons for the demands. The first reason is that the PoK assembly has a total of 53 seats, and 27 seats are required to form a government. In this case, the 12 reserved seats for migrants become very important. The reserved seats for migrants determine who will get the chair of PoK.

Pakistan’s government plans reach PoK at a slow pace. Due to its location on the border with India, PoK is often turbulent. The lives of the people here are quite difficult.

**Will the unrest in PoK subside?**
It doesn’t seem likely at the moment. According to Shaukat Nawaz Mir of the Action Committee, protests will continue until their demands are met. Protesters have begun demonstrations with corpses in the capital, Muzaffarabad.

Meanwhile, leaders of the migrant community say that when they came from India at the time of partition, they were given these seats. If these seats are taken away, they will create a separate ruckus.

According to 2017 figures, the population of migrants in Pakistan-administered Kashmir is 2.5 million. The number of original inhabitants is 2.7 million. That means the Pakistani government is caught between a rock and a hard place.

In a continued effort to dismantle the terrorist ecosystem in Kashmir, Handwara police took action, confiscating the property of a terrorist operative. This action took place in the village of Palpora, Kralgund. During the investigation of a case registered at the Kralgund police station, it was discovered that Nazir Ahmad Gani, a JKNOP member, residing in POK and actively involved in terrorist activities from there, was also actively involved in guiding and orchestrating terrorist activities in Handwara. Consequently, proceedings to confiscate Nazir’s property were initiated, and after completing the legal formalities, the land belonging to Nazir Ahmad Gani in the village of Palpora was seized in the presence of police and revenue officials. This action demonstrates the Handwara police’s commitment to firmly dealing with terrorist operatives and anti-national elements. The aim of these actions is to dismantle the structures that support terrorist organizations, deter others from illegal activities, and strengthen efforts to promote peace and order in the district.

Following the actions of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), the United Nations-proscribed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a Pakistan-backed terrorist organization, has begun shifting its operational network from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Punjab deeper into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Intelligence reports, along with photographic and video evidence from September 22nd, confirm that LeT is establishing a new terrorist training and staging center, Markaz Jihad-e-Aqsa, in the lower Dir district’s Koomban Maidan area. This location is merely 47 kilometers from the Afghan border.

Construction of this new center commenced in July 2025, two months after Operation Sindoor. The first floor’s framework is now complete, with roofing work underway. The center spans approximately 4,600 square feet and is adjacent to LeT’s newly built Jamia Ahle Sunnat mosque, reflecting LeT’s established strategy of using mosques and religious institutions to mask its terrorist infrastructure.

Nasir Javed, a co-conspirator in the 2006 Hyderabad blasts and a veteran LeT operative, has been assigned command of the new center. Muhammad Yasin, also known as Bilal Bhai, is responsible for imparting jihadi ideology, while Ansuallah Khan oversees weapons training. The center plans to offer two key courses, Daur-e-Khas and Daur-e-Lashkar. This camp will serve as the new base for LeT’s Jan-e-Fida’i (suicide) unit, after the Indian Army dismantled its previous base in Bhimber-Barnala in May 2025.

Furthermore, Hizbul Mujahideen has also established a new camp, HM-313, in Lower Dir, and Jaish-e-Mohammed has expanded in Mansehra. These developments are allegedly occurring under the direction of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, to protect the terrorist infrastructure from Indian scrutiny. The Pakistani military conducted a military operation against the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Lower Dir in June 2025, securing the area for LeT and HM. The operation resulted in the deaths of over 24 TTP terrorists, immediately preceding LeT’s commencement of the new center.

Although Pakistani armed forces and air force have presented this as a counter-terrorism operation, local sources indicate it was a maneuver to prepare the ground for anti-India terrorist groups. In August 2025, Pakistani Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur admitted that Pakistan operates on a policy of “good and bad terrorism.” Indian security sources assert that even though the new LeT camp is located away from the border, the Indian Army has the capability to target these locations if India’s security is threatened.

Markaz Jihad-e-Aqsa, under construction in Lower Dir, is expected to be completed by December 2025. It will serve not only as a new recruitment and training center for LeT but also underscores Pakistan’s long-standing strategy of eliminating its own anti-state terrorists while sheltering anti-India organizations.

Following Operation Sindoor launched by the Indian Army, the Pakistani terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen are relocating their bases. According to defense sources, these organizations are shifting their operational headquarters from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Pakistani government agencies are providing assistance in this process.

Sources indicate that the terrorist groups no longer consider POK a safe haven due to the Indian Army’s actions. Consequently, they have begun moving their bases to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a region they perceive as more secure due to its proximity to Afghanistan.

Gandhinagar (Gujarat): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a scathing attack while speaking at Gujarat’s capital of Gandhinagar on Tuesday, named and shamed Pakistan – accusing the neighbor of waging a direct war against India, no longer hiding behind the mask of “proxy warfare”.

Talking about Operation Sindoor, India’s counter offensive to Pakistani aggressions following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, Modi exposed what he called “Pakistan’s ultimate hypocrisy” – according state honour to the very terrorists India eliminated in its high precision strike.

“You cannot call this a proxy war anymore. When coffins are draped in Pakistani flags and saluted by their Army, it is not terrorism; it is a war. And if this is war, the response will be accordingly,” the prime minister thundered.

Modi revealed that India’s targeted strikes destroyed nine terror hideouts in just 22 minutes and that it was all recorded live this time.

“This time, everything was captured on camera so nobody can ask for proof,” he said, while taking a direct swipe at skeptics who had demanded visual evidence of previous strikes.

Referring to Partition, he invoked history and claimed Pakistan has been using terrorism as a state weapon since day one. “Had Sardar Patel’s advice been followed”, he said, “PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) would be today with India and 75 years of terror could have been prevented.”

“Pakistan captured part of Kashmir using Mujahideen. If they had been wiped out then, we would not be suffering today. But we tolerated… now the thorn will be removed,” he added.

PM Modi took a dig laced with irony and mocked Pakistan’s panic, adding even India’s cleaning of dams has them sweating. “We have only opened small gates to clean dams, and they are already flooding there,” he said, amid thunderous applause from the crowd.

He also attacked the Indus Waters Treaty and called it a historical blunder that crippled India’s own use of its rivers.

Issuing sharp warnings, PM Modi shifted focus to India’s rise on the global stage and highlighted its leap to becoming the world’s 4th largest economy, overtaking Japan.

“Now, the pressure to become No. 3 is greater than the pride of becoming No. 4. We cannot wait anymore. Modi hai toh mumkin hai (it is possible if Modi is at the helm),” he said.
The Union government on Thursday held an all-party meeting to brief the various political parties about the affirmative action taken during Operation Sindoor on Wednesday. The operation had targeted nine terror sites in Pakistan and all nine were destroyed.Following the conclusion of the all-party meeting on Operation Sindoor, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju briefed the reporters. Rijiju said that Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the meeting and members of each party were briefed about the operation conducted by the Indian Armed Forces on Wednesday morning.Kiren Rijiju emphasised that all the leaders have showcased “maturity” and asserted that at the present time all are “together”. The Union Minister informed that everyone congratulated the Indian Armed Forces for the Operation Sindoor and offered their support to the government into the matter. Also Read: UK, France, Israel, Netherlands and more nations back Operation Sindoor”The meeting was chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who briefed everyone about the Operation Sindoor and all the leaders gave their suggestions. All the leaders have shown maturity at a time when we are all working together. Everyone has hailed and congratulated the armed forces for Operation Sindoor, and said that we will support the government and armed forces. We have received a few suggestions as well… The Defence Minister said we don’t form the government just to rule”, Kiren Rijiju told reporters after the meeting.
Live Events
“Political parties are the voice of the people and the leaders speaking in one voice. I think it is also one of our successes… It is not good to tell about the continuation of things that are going on after the first strike of Operation Sindoor, and hence, officials were not called in the meeting,” he said. Rijiju also urged all parties to not rely on unverified news, “Many fake news is being propagated to spread fake news, and hence, I appeal to all in this time not to trust any fake news coming out of the country or from within the country and to trust only authentic information.”Also Read: In moment of crisis, we are with government, says CongressAll India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chairman and MP Asaduddin Owaisi also spoke to the media after the all-party meeting and said that the government have the “golden” opportunity to confront Pakistanis and adopt Kashmiris.
He urged that the victims of the Poonch attack must be declared as “terrorist” victims and the government should provide houses and compensate them.

“The government has a golden opportunity in Kashmir to confront Pakistan and adopt Kashmiris. Those who have lost their lives in Poonch should be declared terrorist victims, and the government should compensate and provide houses for them, as they lost everything because of Pakistan’s ceasefire violations… The biggest takeaways for me are that Bhawalpur and Muridke – two known terrorist sites were destroyed… Many international media outlets have reported that a Rafale has been down in Bathinda. The Indian Air Force should deny it, as it shouldn’t damage the morale of our armed forces”, he told reporters.

The Indian Armed Forces targeted nine locations in deep areas of Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Wednesday morning. They launched strikes on several terrorist camps in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
