  • PM Modi, Imran Khan will not attend SCO meeting to host India

    The meeting of representatives of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) governments will be chaired by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan, Narendra Modi and Imran Khan will not attend this virtual meeting.

    Pakistan’s participation in the meeting is at the lowest level. Pakistan will be represented by Parliament Secretary Andlib Abbas for its foreign issues. The Prime Ministers of these countries will represent Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Prime Minister Modi, Imran Khan and Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the SCO’s virtual summit earlier this month. It was chaired by Russia.

    On the condition of not telling his name, the people associated with this meeting said that the Council of the Head of State has participation at the level of the Foreign Minister of India. Last year, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh made his presence known in Uzbekistan. Since India is hosting this meeting this year, the Vice President will preside over it.

    Although Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has participated in virtual meetings organized by other countries, but did not attend the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) meeting in March. The topic of this meeting was related to how to deal with the corona virus. Significantly, in that meeting, the representative of Pakistan had tried to distract Matting from the issue by raising the issue of Kashmir.

    On Tuesday, the Border Security Force is celebrating its 56th Foundation Day.   • PM Modi greets Border Security Force on its raising day

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted the Border Security Force, which guards the country’s international border, on its raising day and said India is proud of it.  The BSF has distinguished itself as a valorous force, unwavering in its commitment to protecting the nation and assisting citizens during natural calamities, he said in a tweet. 

    The BSF was raised on this day in 1965 with a purpose to guard India’s international border with Pakistan and later with Bangladesh too when it became an independent country in 1971.

    BSF personnel have also been deployed in the past to deal with internal challenges, including in counter-terrorism operations in Kashmir. 

    In a tweet, the prime minister said, “Best wishes to all @BSF_India personnel and their families on the special occasion of their Raising Day. BSF has distinguished itself as a valorous force, unwavering in their commitment to protect the nation and assist citizens during natural calamities. India is proud of BSF!”

  • New agricultural reforms have given farmers new options and legal protection, says PM Modi

    PM Modi arrives in Varanasi, to dedicate to the nation six-lane widening project of Handia (Prayagraj)-Rajatalab (Varanasi) section of NH19. He’ll also attend Dev Deepawali event, undertake site visit of Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor Project & visit Sarnath Archaeological Site.

    During the tour, the Prime Minister will attend Dev Deepawali, undertake a site visit of Kashi Vishwanath Temple corridor project and also visit the Sarnath archaeological site. The 73 km stretch of the newly widened and six-laned NH-19, made with a total outlay of Rs 2,447 crore, is expected to reduce the travel time between Prayagraj and Varanasi by one hour.

  • PM Modi congratulated on Guru Nanak Jayanti, wrote this message while tweeting in Punjabi language

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Naredra Modi) has greeted the countrymen on Guru Nanak Jayanti on Monday. PM Modi wrote a congratulatory message on Twitter in Punjabi language and remembered Sikh Guru Nanak Dev. Today, the 551st Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev is being celebrated.   • PM Modi to visit Varanasi today, will inaugurate Varanasi-Prayagraj highway project

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to Varanasi today on the occasion of Dev Deepawali.  The PM is also scheduled to inaugurate the six-lane Varanasi-Prayagraj Highway. Meanwhile, preparations are underway at Rajghat in Varanasi ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit to the holy city.

    To start the celebrations of Dev Deepawali, a festival of light celebrated on Kartik Purnima, PM Modi will light a diya (lamp) which will be followed by lighting of 11 lakh diyas on both sides of Ganga. 

    During the visit, the PM will also undertake a site visit of the under-construction Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor Project to review its progress. After that, he will also see the light and sound Show at the Sarnath archaeological site, which was inaugurated by him earlier this month.

    Security personnel, along with the dog squad, were seen checking boats at the ghat. They were thoroughly checking other locations near Rajghat as well.

    Cops have also been deployed at all the important junctions and points in the city. The 73-kilometre stretch of the newly-widened National Highway-19, which cost a total of Rs 2,447 crore, is expected to reduce the travel time between the holy cities on the banks of river Ganga, Prayagraj and Varanasi, by one hour, reported ANI. 

    Meanwhile, a weaver from Varanasi has woven a special silk ‘angavastram’ for the PM. The ‘angavastram’ carries the Buddhist mantra “Buddham Sharanam Gachchami, Dhammam Sharanam Gachchami, Sangham Sharanam Gachchami” along with a leaf of the ‘Bodhivriksha’, reported IANS. The weaver, Bachche Lal Maurya, told IANS that he wants Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to gift the ‘angavastram’ to the Prime Minister.

  • PM Modi lauds Maharashtra sixth std student who made his sketch

    Ajay Dake, a sixth standard student from Maharashtra has become the toast of his school as Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded his “exceptional art talent” after receiving his sketch from him.

    Ajay, a student of the Bal Vidya Mandir High School in Parbhani, around 500 km from the state capital Mumbai, made a sketch of the prime minister and sent it to him, not expecting that he would receive a reply.

    He was in for a pleasant surprise when he received a letter from Modi, in which the PM lauded his “exceptional art talent”.

    Ajay sent a sketch of Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his letter. To his surprise, he received a reply and his happiness knew no bounds.

    In his letter, Modi admired Ajays exceptional art talent and wrote, “the magical art of painting realises most ethereal dreams on canvas.” “Your ideas about the country that you have expressed in your letter illustrate the beauty of your thoughts,” Modi added in the letter. He encouraged Ajay that he should utilise his creativity for the betterment of the society.

    “I hope you would use your skill to bring awareness about relevant issues among your friends and in the society,” the PM wrote, ending his letter with his blessings and good wishes for the student.

    In his letter to Modi, Ajay had written about his love for painting, saying painting is his world and a method of expression. He had also expressed his wish to become a responsible citizen and serve the country.

    “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is quite popular among the school students. Through his Mann Ki Baat Programme, he often interacts with the students on relevant topics like exams, studies and scientific temper.

    “In order to express gratitude and affection for their beloved Prime Minister, students also write letters and emails to him,” an official release said.

  • SII CEO Poonawalla makes big announcement after PM Modi visit

    Hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Pune-based pharma company Serum Institute of India (SII) on Saturday (November 28), the company’s CEO Adar Poonawalla said that his company will seek permission for emergency use authorization of ‘Covishield’ in the next two weeks.

    Few days, SII CEO Poonawalla had said that that the company is focused on supplying vaccines to India first. “It is very important we take care of our country first, then go on to Covax after that and then other bilateral deals with countries. So I’ve kept it in that priority,” Poonawalla had told reporters.

    “I am delighted to hear that, Covishield, a low-cost, logistically manageable & soon to be widely available, #COVID19 vaccine, will offer protection up to 90% in one type of dosage regime and 62% in the other dosage regime. Further details on this, will be provided this evening,” Adar Poonawalla had tweeted on November 23.

    “As of now, we do not have anything in writing with the government of India on how many doses they will purchase but the indication is that it would be 300-400 million doses by July 2021,” he added.

    Earlier on Saturday, PM Modi visited the SII facility in Pune and met Poonawalla and his team. “Had a good interaction with the team at Serum Institute of India. They shared details about their progress so far on how they plan to further ramp up vaccine manufacturing. Also took a look at their manufacturing facility,” PM Modi tweeted.

  • India’s first sea plane service temporarily closed, PM Modi inaugurated

    The seaplane service for Sabarmati Aerodromes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Kevadia on the occasion of the 145th birth date of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel has been temporarily discontinued. This service has been temporarily discontinued after sea plane maintenance problems. The 19 seater sea plane will be sent back to the Maldives today.

    Let us know that the sea plane formally started on 1 November. To travel in Sea Plane service, tickets were arranged at the Waterdrome in Kevadia and Ahmadabad. To avail this airline, a fare of 1500 rupees has to be paid. The fare in this plane is under fixed quota and its maximum fare is Rs 4800 per person.

    The government’s plan is likely to benefit from this service in Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar, Assam, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand. Now know what is a sea plane? Actually it is a kind of airplane, which does not need runway to fly. This ship can also take off and landing with water.
