CG news, / About 200 ordinary citizens from Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi area met Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office here today and thanked him for the gift of the new district. The citizens of the area greeted the Chief Minister after reaching the Chief Minister’s residence with a string of instruments. On this occasion, Minister of Forests Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Minister of School Education Dr. Premasai Singh Tekam Singh was also present.
People from Gourela region said that their old demand for years has been fulfilled, now the area will be developed properly. The Chief Minister said that you had to come to Bilaspur for small things, it would take a whole day for this. The creation of a new district will bring administrative tightness and there will be easy benefits of public welfare schemes. With the formation of a new district, people will not have to travel till Bilaspur, now their problems will be solved easily there. The Chief Minister said that Collector and other administrative officers will be posted soon in the new district.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that along with the announcement of new district Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi on Independence Day, several announcements have also been made. Lemru Elephant Reserve will be built near your district. This will prevent wild elephants from natural habitat and their conservation and promotion as well as loss of life and property loss due to elephants in the area.
The Chief Minister said that the state government will give Rs 10,000 to the Gowthan committees to run. Now, 13 percent reservation will be given to scheduled castes in the state on the basis of population instead of 12, similarly, other backward classes will also be given 27 percent reservation instead of 14 as per national standard. He said that the happiness of the people is the goal of the government.
