When the forces approached, the Naxals initiated gunfire. In a retaliatory response, the security forces effectively countered, resulting in the elimination of one Naxal.

A weapon was also recovered from the scene. There is a possibility of more Naxals being injured or killed.

Information indicates that the encounter took place in the forests of Alanar. The slain Naxal was identified as Masa, a member of Company Number 5, and carried a reward of 8 lakh rupees.
