Parliamentary Secretary and MLA flagged off Jal Jeevan Mission Rath
Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the chariot was flagged off by Parliamentary Secretary Gurdial Singh Banjare and MLA Bemetara Ashish Kumar Chhabra in the District Panchayat premises on Tuesday to promote water in every house, tap in every house. This chariot will travel to far flung villages of the district. Collector Shri Bhoskar Vilas Sandipan, Superintendent of Police Shri Divyang Kumar Patel besides Banshi Patel, Executive Engineer PHE Gorakhnath Ramteke, other public representatives and officials were present on the occasion.
The Collector informed that the Jal Jeevan Mission chariot has been flagged off in every house, water chariot in every tap. He said that the objective of this mission is to reach all rural households by 2024, provide 55 liters of water per person per day, development of new drinking water sources and improvement of existing sources, making water potable by proper technology and waste water management. For better operation of the scheme, capacity building of all the stakeholders, drinking water committee has been constituted at the district level for the operation of Nal Jal Yojana. -
